Misaki:
"I'll think about it." Sosuke answered me, I smile and stands up.
"If it's like that, then I'm okay with it." I gave a relaxed expression. "At least you'll think about it right?"
"Yeah." He started coughing.
"You should get home already." I said as he nodded.
Ren:
"So can I say that you want to help me?" Ichirou asked.
"No, I'm just...let's just cancel today." I added. "I'm just really not in the mood."
"Whatever you say milady." He grins.
--Monday: Dojo--
Kei:
I looked around, where was Sosuke? He wasn't the type to skip club. To opened my bento box. Misaki, soon after, stormed into the dojo.
"Kei!" She greeted and sat down beside me huffing and puffing.
"Yes?" I asked, she shook me.
"You know how next week is entrance exam week? Well, today is Sosuke is sick and being his girlfriend and all, I won't be able to tend to him, so could you look after him for me?" She pleaded. Girlfriend? Well, considering the fact that I told him about Kei and Ren...
"Fine. Are you going to meet me there?" I asked her, I didn't want to keep Sosuke in my hands. I lied to him and that's all there is to it.
"Yeah at five." She shook my hands. "Thank you so much!"
"No problem." I replied as she ran off. Yoshida suddenly appeared next to me.
"Sosuke is sick, huh? Man, right now I need a buddy to accompany me." He placed his arm around my neck.
"Can I come with you?" He smiled cheekily. I nodded, I don't think Sosuke would like it if I went alone, anyways.
--After school--
"You know where Sosuke place is?" I asked as he looked surprised. "What?"
"Why did you say yes when you didn't know where his place was?!" He sighed.
"Well, I would eventually find my way there, right?" I grinned. He touched my neck.
"Your hair is getting longer." He stared.
"So what? Why are you staring like that?" I asked, a little embarrassed.
"Well, ever since you mysterious leave two months ago, you never really cut your hair. Afterwards, do you want to me to take you to the barber?" He offered.
"No, it's okay." I turned him down as we arrived at a large house. A small girl ran out the front door and hugged Yoshida.
"Yoshida big brother!" She squealed excitedly. He placed his hand on her sides and lifted her into the air.
"Your getting bigger and bigger every time I see you!" He exclaims as we enter the two-story house.
"Big brother is upstairs. He's been sick since yesterday..." The little girl explains before tears start forming in her eyes. "Yuri doesn't know how to help big brother.." Yoshida pats her on her head.
"It's okay. I know you care for big brother a lot." He smiled and placed her on the couch. "You cook?" He asked.
"Not really, but I'll see what I can do." I quickly put on an apron. "Yoshida, can I let you deal with her?" He nodded.
Whipping up some porridge, I poured a bit into a bowl. Taking it upstairs, I knocked on Sosuke's door.
"Can I come in?" I asked, I heard some groaning noises. "Sosuke, you there?" I shouted and knocked another time.
No response. I opened the door with the other hand, to see a black-haired male with a cloth over his forehead, sleeping on the bed.
"Sosuke, you need to eat this if you want to get better." I told him as he opened his eyes.
"K-Kei?" He managed to greet and push himself up.
"Yeah, come on eat this." He took the spoon and scooped some up. Slowing placing it in his mouth, I shouted.
"Are you stupid?! Your going to burn yourself!" I sighed and took his spoon. Blowing it gently, I fed him.
"Hey!" Yoshida greeted, while I fed him. "Wait-- are you by any chance ga--"
"No! You got the wrong idea!" I protested. Yoshida sighed in relief.
"So your just feeding him out of pure sympathy?" Yoshida teased.
"Not exactly sympathy, just because Misaki told me to." I snapped back.
"Misaki? What are you head over heels with her or something?" Yoshida gave a smirk.
"I don't like her! I mean I do--but not in a romantic way! Like brother and sister!"
"That's what they all say." Sosuke started coughing.
"Now is not the time, let's just help Sosuke." I said.
After Sosuke finished eating, we cleaned the bowls up and brought Yuriko to her room. We played with her dolls and cards until she fell asleep.
"Oh, it's nearly five. We should leave soon." I warned. As we gathered our things, I entered Sosuke's room to check if he was okay.
He was sleeping peacefully like a child. I smiled as I dropped my things and approached him.
"You know," I mumbled. "I really like you. But, I don't have any rights to tell you that. I'm a lying fox. For one whole year, I've lied to you. Just for Misaki, but after I realised she was manipulating me, I had already fallen for you. Those six months you looked after me in the hospital, my heart wouldn't stop beating everything you came. Just when I thought I could tell you, you found out, hated me and became a couple with Misaki. I guess I deserved it." I felt a sadness overwhelm me.
Before I could even realise, Sosuke had shifted, pulling me onto his bed and pinned me. He was still sick, but his eyes looked straight into mine.
"Ren... Could you tell me that every word you said was true?" He gritted his teeth. I nodded my head, his breathing became heavier.
"Can you please...please tell me that you and Kei are two different people." I looked away. He sighed. "I guess not."
He came closer and closer towards my face. Is he about to kiss me? I covered my face with both hands.
I felt Sosuke head against my neck. He have fallen asleep on top of me. I push him of me and tug the blankets on top of him.
"Ren...please don't...leave...not now..." He mumbled in his sleep.
I plant a kiss on his forehead and left the room.
Misaki:
"I'll see you then." Kei waved.
Finally, Kei or Ren I should say, left us alone. To be honest, I didn't think Ren was so sneaky. Well, I never believed in that lying fox anyways.
"Sosuke?" I called, not a sound. Running up the stairs, I opened the door, Sosuke was asleep.
"Sosuke, I will go anywhere with you. Even if that place is hell." I sat beside him.
"Ren...I love you...please don't leave me..." Sosuke mumbled. Tears flowed down my cheek.
Why do you love her more than me? I love you more than her, but this is what they call destiny, right? I can't change they way you look at me, but I can try my hardest to make you understand my feelings.
But in your eyes, I will always be the bad guy.
