In the little county of Devon, England, or more specifically the outskirts Ottery St Catchpole, lived a family. You could recognize anyone in this family because of their flaming red hair, dark brown eyes, and hand-me-down clothes. But today, we talk about their neighbors, not them.
Samantha and John Shapiro were both members of the order of the phoenix. And both were hot-headed Hogwarts graduates, but while Sam was a Gryffindor, John was a Slytherin.
This year their only daughter was to start attending Hogwarts. As exciting as this was, this brought strain on the Shapiro family as each parent wanted their child in their own house at their alma mater. And as the two parents were already fighting, this brought a lot of suspicion to everyone around, including their daughter, who believed that the parents would get a divorce and blame her.
Her name was Rebekah Shapiro.
