Happy Birthday to Briar Nolet! She's now 22 years old, so, as I always do for their birthdays, I wrote a little special part for her: I am going to rank 22 of her dance solos!
Reminder: the ranking that I wrote is my opinion because I was only able to choose 22, there are plenty of solos that I wanted to include and that I couldn't. Also, thanks to the amazing people who shared the videos.
1. Ashes
This might be my favorite dance from Briar, it is so emotional and I love the last scene where Jennifer Lopez and her share such an emotional face! Kind of lyrical eyebrows but I loved them, after all, Briar is our favorite lyrical-eyebrows user!
She also danced this routine on stage, I miss seeing artists perform on stage...
2. My Prerogative
My 2nd favorite solo of Briar is the fiercest one, the Britney Spears one. I think that it is iconic, she used the props so well, jumping from them, landing on the floor, making some acro moves with the cube, and finally, jumping! I remember being so surprised when she jumped!
3. President
Richelle might haven't been elected Dance Captain of A-Troupe in Season 7 but she's the president of Dance. I love this solo so much, it gives some World of Dance vibes to The Next Step, the lyrics fit really well and some compare it to the "You Should See Me In a Crown" routine. I hope that she will be in Season 8 if there is, but I think that she mentioned the new season in her latest live, where she signed her own posters.
"I'm not the diamond in the rough that you're looking for, I'm the diamond in the window that you can't afford" so much sass!
4. Let's go
Baby Richelle is in the place! I love so much the solo that she did on Season 3. In that season, she didn't get into A-Troupe, losing her dance battle and Eldon mentioned her as "a kid" but in this dance, she can do more pirouettes than Eldon!
5. Season 2 audition
Everyone was amazed by Richelle's first dance on the show, her Season 2 audition, James said "where did they come from?" and his reaction was priceless. Her tricks in the solo are so amazing and she was so young!
