Romance at The Burrow

Chapter 1

Y/N'S POV

It was finally time to get packing! It has been a very long year here at Hogwarts but it was a good one! I rushed to start packing because of course, I decided it would be smart to not pack yesterday and to leave it till now. I am going to have to skip the last meal in the great hall to finish packing on time!

TIME SKIP ---- 20 MIN

" Hey Y/N!" said Ginny, she has been one of my best friends since I got to Hogwarts!

" Y/N! HOW HAVE YOU NOT FINISHED PACKING!" screamed Hermione, as she has been telling me for weeks to start packing so something like this wouldn't happen.

They rushed to help me finish packing my stuff as we rushed to the common room to meet up with the boys. Good thing we rushed because the boys took another 15 minutes to finish packing. We decided it would be best to travel to the burrow using the floo network. Considering what happened last time we travelled in the flying car. If you didn't know, I absolutely hate travelling by floo. Hermione went first, then Harry, then Ginny and the twins. 

Ron is my best friend, has been since 1st year when Molly forced us to run through the wall at King's Cross together! I have had a little crush on him since the 2nd year, but after we were both underwaters during the Tri-Wizard Championship, he helped me warm-up and that's when I realized I was in love with my best friend.

Either way, he saw the fear in my eyes when I was stepping up to the fireplace. 

" Hey, why don't we go together?" 

" I would love that. Thank you, Ron"

" No Problem."

We grabbed a  handful of the floo powder and yelled " THE BURROW" in unison as we held hands.

The next thing I knew we were standing in the fireplace in the Burrow, it was oddly silent, but I opened my eyes to see everyone standing in awe looking at me and Ron. I was very confused then I realized we were still holding hands. I quickly let go of his hands and walked out to greet everyone.

" Here y/n let me take your bags," said Mrs. Weasley in her usual cheerful tone

" No let me I insist," I said as I grabbed my bags and got dragged upstairs by the girls to Ginny's room, probably to get interrogated about what just happened.

Ginny slammed the door shut and screamed in excitement" WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT Y/N!" 

" OMG DID YOU TWO FINALLY CONFESS YOUR LOVE TO EACHOTHER" Hermione screamed,

" OMG no guys, I was scared of travelling by floo so Ron came with me! That is all! And who said I'm in love with Ron! " I said in a defensive tone.

" Y/N SHUT UP! You both are in love with each other it's so obvious!" said Ginny, " Have you seen the way my brother looks at you!" she continued

Hermione followed up " Ron is absolutely moronic and can't take the hint that you are into him too!" 

" Ugh, you may be right but let's go back and join the others."
