Romance at The Burrow

Chapter 3

Y/N POV 

I grabbed my book and put on my sneakers as I walked outside as the sun was starting to go down. I walked out to the middle of the field where there was a tree with a curve that perfectly fit with the curve of my back. I went there to read whenever I was at the Burrow. I was reading for about 15 minutes when I heard a faint noise of a twig breaking. I thought nothing of it.

"BOO!!!!" Ron screamed while jumping out from behind the tall grass

" RONALD WEASLEY YOU COMPLETE AND UTTER ARSE IM GOING TO KILL YOU!!" I screeched while running at him

We ran and chased each other for 15 minutes before we tripped and fell. He landed so his arms were on either side of my torso pressed flat against the rough dirt. We breathed heavily while looking into each other's eyes. I saw his eyes flip to my lips and I did the same. I decided that it was time. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him in to meet my lips in a soft kiss. He pulled away at first, giving me that stupid little smirk  I loved so much. He leaned back in, our lips meeting in a rougher, more passionate kiss. It felt like it went on forever. I had kissed other boys before, but never like this. I could never feel the sparks flying, and the butterflies in my stomach were going crazy. I felt warm and happy and safe in his embrace. 

" Ron?" 

" Yes y/n?"

"  When I am around you I can barely think straight, I get butterflies. When you do that stupid little smirk I melt into a puddle of warmth. When I see you after not seeing you all day, I get so excited my heart could burst."

" Wait... what are you trying to say y/n?"

" YOU STUPID GIT IM TRYING  TO SAY IM IN LOVE WITH YOU! I HAVE BEEN IN LOVE WITH YOU SINCE THE TOURNAMENT! "

Ron went silent.

Then he started laughing his ass off

" WHAT THE FUCK RON! WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING AT ME ! I JUST PROFESSED MY LOVE FOR  YOU AND YOU FUCKING LAUGH!"

" I'M SORRY! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG! I DON'T KNOW HOW TO REACT" 

" How long?"

" Since I first met you at King's Cross in Year 1! The way you were so shy at first but 5 minutes later it was like we had known each other for our whole lives. I knew right then I loved you."

" Ron you are going to make me cry!!!"

" NO! Don't cry! Can I ask you a question?"

" Of course!"

" Will you maybe be my girlfriend? "

" I don't want anything else in the world right now Ron."

Ron grabbed me and picked me up spinning me around until I had to stop him because I got dizzy. We held eachothers hands while we walked inside.

The second we walked inside everyone stopped and stared at us.

" Oh shove off." Ron said as we walked inside. Just to mark his territory he placed a gentle sweet kiss on my cheek. I started blushing profusely as the girls ran up and hugged me while they squeeled. The twins ran up to Ron and give him a knoogie

" Congrats on getting the girl the girl little brother!" The twins and Harry said in unison

Molly came up and hugged me

" Welcome to the family sweetheart," she started whispering to me

" If I'm being honest I knew this was gonna happen when I saw you two getting on the train together in Year 1." 

" Haha apparently that's when Ron knew as well. I guess I was the late one this one."

" Better late than never!" 

" Ha You're right!"

I ran over to grab a seat next to Ron for dinner.

After we eat the girls ran upstairs and called for me to go with them. They demanded that I told them everything. And I did, I told them about the jump scare, the chase, the kiss , everything.

When I was falling asleep after girl talk, I couldn't help but think 

" Oh My God. I am dating my best friend."

I couldn't help but giggle to myself.

This was a night I will never forget.
