(This is a time skip to like a week or 2 after the last chapter because I'm too lazy to write stuff to transition. )

Virgil walked into the kitchen and say Patton making pancakes with Logan sipping a cup of coffee at the table while reading a text book.

Patton: Hey there kiddo I'm making pancakes. Today's a special day after all!

Vigil sighed, today Power High was hosting a special event where all the freshman's parents came to the school. It was kinda like a parent teacher meet and greet if you turned it up to a 10. He was not excited for how loud everything was going to be and how much human interaction he would have to do. He hated people, they were too annoying. Virgil jumped in surprise when he say Roman walk down to the kitchen and open the fridge. 

Patton: Hey Roman! I thought you would be out already, you want some pancakes?

Roman: Yah.

Virgil: Why are you in such a bad mood?

Roman just ignored the question and Patton walked over to the table with the stack of pancakes and a bottle of maple sirup. Logan took a bit and looked at Patton.

Logan: These are very good Patton thank you for making them.

Patton: No problem Lo! Hey are your parents coming today?

Logan: Logan and yes my father said he would be able to come. Are your parents and/or guardians coming? 

Patton: My Grangran could but I told her not too. We live a fair bit away and I don't want her driving so much just for this. What about you Virgil?

Virgil looked up from his phone and swallowed his bite of pancakes.

Virgil: Yah my mom and dad are coming. Why does Power High even do this. They make it a big deal when it's an optional event.

Logan: Yes but Power High is a prestigious school that is always in the spot light. They need to make sure to keep their reputation and notability.

Virgil just shrugged. Patton looked over at Roman who had been uncharacteristically quiet. He had warmed up a bit after the rescue training. They still didn't see him too much but he would hang out with them when he did. He and Virgil had some rivalry but besides that he got along with everyone pretty well. 

Patton: Roman are you parents coming?

Roman tensed up at the question and took a bite from his pancake. Taking a second to swallow before answering.

Roman: I-I think my Mother is coming.

Patton: Great I can't wait to meet all your parents! What are yours like?

Roman suddenly got up and walked out of the room without an explanation fiddling with his shirt sleeves. Virgil sighed and walked out of the room shooting Patton a peace sign and putting his head phones on

Patton: Logan what are your parents like?

Logan: Well my father is a bit like you Patton. He has a similar sense of humor and affinity for calling me nick names.

Patton: He sounds great Logie! This is going to be fun. 

Logan looked over at Patton. He looked so cute when he was happy. Bouncing in his seat making his curly hair bounce on his head. He also had adorable freckles all across his cheeks and nose. He always had this feeling in his chest every time he and Patton were alone like this. What is this feeling. Logan quickly tried to distract himself from the feeling and changed the subject.
