Scorpius' POV
Albus and I head out of the potions classroom, making our way to divination. I still can't believe Trixie got into Gryffindor! It's not that I'm mad about her being put in it, I'm worried about her. I know she's tough, but after what happened last summer, she's gotten softer. I don't blame her though, I probably would've reacted the same way if that happened to me.
"Earth to Scorpius. Are you there?" Albus waves his hands in front of my eyes, trying to get my attention.
"Yeah?" I reply, snapping back to reality.
"You okay? Ever since the sorting you've acted kind of off. Are you mad about your sister's house or something?" Albus asks.
"No, no I'm not mad." I mutter. "Just worried. If she's in a different house, how am I supposed to protect her? She's grown softer since.....the incident... I'm worried she'll get stuck in another situation like that and not be able to defend herself."
"You sound like your dad. Besides, why would someone want to hurt her? The way you talk about her, she's the nicest, most perfect human being to walk this planet- and that's a lot coming from you, you're not a people person" Albus says. We see Trixie with Albus' younger sister and some other girl walking from the herbology room, and I try as hard as humanly possible to make sure she doesn't see me. I failed- I see her walking over to me.
"Hi Scorpo!" She says. I just walk on, pretending not to notice her, I really don't feel like talking to her, besides, we have class soon.
"Dude that was cold." Albus whispers, as we walk towards the divination room.
"I know, I just don't wanna talk to her right now." I whisper back. We take our seats in the classroom, and pretend to care about all the crazy talk that Professor Trelawney was yammering on and on about. Class was uneventful, and once we get dismissed Albus and I immediately run to the great hall- lunch is our favorite class. We eat and talk as usual, but in the corner of my eye I see that bully, Leo Longbottom, leading Trixie to the courtyard.
"What does that cockroach want with Trixie?" I ask angrily.
"Who? Leo?" Albus replies, only half listening.
"Yeah! He was dragging Trixie to the courtyard!" I exclaim.
"That can't be good." Albus mutters.
"No shit sherlock." I hiss. I decide to go and check it out, and I see that dirty toerag punching my sister!
"Stop! I have my wand and I'm not afraid to use it!" Trixie screams.
"With what? All your stupid first year spells? I'm so scared." He punches her in the gut. "That's for calling her a toerag-" I angrily clench my fists, nobody hurts my sister.
"HANDS OFF MY SISTER LONGBOTTOM!" I scream. They all turn around, all of them suprised to see me.
"What are you gonna do about it Malfoy? Get your death eater daddy to hex me?" Leo says. Then he punches Trixie in the gut again. She's bleeding badly, and it looks like she can barley stand, that evil cockroach is going to get it! I punch Leo multiple times and push him to the ground.
"That's for messing with my sister Longbottom. If I see you even looking at her in bad way you're dead. And that's a promise." I exclaim. "Do you understand?"
"Yes." Leo says in a quivery voice. Then he runs away. As soon as Leo is out of sight, I hug Trixie tightly.
"Sorry for being mad. I was scared that I couldn't protect you anymore. Obviously I was wrong." I mutter into her ear.
"I forgive you. Also just to be clear, I didn't do any of those things Leo said I did. Aria was bad talking dad so I defended him. I didn't call Aria any names, unless Longbottom counts." She mutters back.
"I love you and all, but you're bleeding all over my robes. Lets get you to Madam Pomfrey. " I whisper. She chuckles and lets me walk her to Madam Pomfrey, I drop her off, kiss her head and walk to care of magical creatures, which is my next class.
