[Harry POV]

I don't know what happened over the weekend, but Louis seemed so distant and dazed in school. It was your average Monday, but whenever I'd see him in the hallways, it's like he was stuck in a trance; his brow was constantly furrowed deep in thought as he stared at the tile floor.

I wanted to go up to him and ask him if everything was okay, but not many people knew about us and when I looked over to Louis to try and get his attention before my last class of the day, I saw Liam look back at me with a worried expression on his face.

I stopped in the hallway and watched as Louis walked out of the main doors, keeping his head down. Liam seemed to whisper something to Louis and gave him a reassuring hug before Louis left the building.

The bell rang and I was forced to pry my attention away from the whole situation as I walked into my AP Statistics class and sat in the cold and uncomfortable seat attached to my desk. I stared off into space as the teacher began to drone on about different formulas and probabilities; I could pass this class with my eyes closed and I currently had much more pressing thoughts like what the actual hell is going on with Louis.

As if he was reading my mind, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I checked to see if my teacher - Mr. Rose - was paying any attention to us, but his back was facing the class as he explained the various equations written up on the whiteboard. I pulled out my phone to see a text from Louis.

Louis: Can I pick you up today from your house after school? I can explain everything in the car.

Me: Is everything alright?

Louis: Define alright... I'm leaving school early today to take care of some business and then I want to pick you up and drive you back to my place.

Me: Sure, that's fine. But do you promise to explain what this is all about? I mean, aren't your parents home?

Louis: I know but I have a plan and don't worry I've thought it through

A plan? A plan for what?

Louis: When I explain this all to you in a bit, I'll let you decide what you want to do, and if you don't want to go through with it, I'll drive you home.

I sat there for a moment, trying to understand what Louis claims I would or wouldn't want to do. I decide to ignore that for now, relying on the fact that he'll explain it all to me soon.

Me: Did you leave school for the day?

Louis: Yeah, I've already left and I'm currently about to talk to some people before I head back home. I'll pick you up about a half-hour after the bell rings if everything goes smoothly.

At this point, I'm beyond confused. I still don't know what plan he's talking about, or why I have any part to do with it. But if he insists on picking me up, then so be it because I really enjoy his company and wouldn't turn it down.

Me: Ok. I'll see you soon boo x

I pocket my phone, and stare at the clock on the wall impatiently, watching the red and black clock hands move slower than ever.

[Louis POV]

"Are you sure you want to do this?" A tall officer asked.

"Yes," I said confidently, "I can't imagine waiting another moment while I know my mom's being abused."

"Then it's settled," He announced as he looked around the small office room. The other officers nodded in agreeance.

"You'll show us the way to your house and we'll follow while keeping our sirens off," He recited the plan while looking off his little notepad, "We'll have you do in first, so he doesn't get frantic of suspicious and decide to run for it, and then we'll come in approximately a minute later to take him into custody."
