took a while, was in denial when i first heard

i heard that you were in a relationship with a new girl. i refused to believed that you could be in a healthy relationship. i refused to listen. but eventually i came to terms that i was not your girlfriend anymore.

that you moved on quicker than i could've ever, you know that hurt

i was still hurt from your betrayal. i rejected every guy i came across. i wasn't strong enough to bear new pain that i would come across. my heart was too damaged.

swear for a while i would stare at my phone just to see your name

i knew it was a long shot, but i checked my phone every time i heard a notification go off, hoping that your name would pop up. every call i get, hoping your name would pop up.

but now that it's there, i don't really know what to say

one day, your name did pop up on my screen. you were calling me. i didn't know if i should answer. i didn't know how i would answer. i clicked the accept button.
