A/N: This isn't a ship oneshot. This is a one-shot that involves them together but they don't love each other romantically. Also this takes place way before the villagers were there so Nightmare and Dream are living peacefully. Also I do not own the art or the video.

It was a very cold day today. It was December so that explains why it was so cold. Today was December 21st, Dream and Nightmare's birthday. The brothers were officially turning eleven this year. Dream was currently curled up by the tree of feelings, trying to stay warm. He was worried about his brother. Nightmare had left to go search for some things and hasn't returned yet despite an hour passing by. Dream exhaled, seeing his own breath due to how cold it was. He really hoped his older brother was alright. Despite the two being the same age, Nightmare took the older brother role since he was more cautious and mature while Dream was childish and immature. Dream soon perked up, seeing his brother heading over to him, holding something behind his back. "Nighty! You're back!" Dream exclaimed, smiling happily. He was glad his brother was fine. "Yup, I'm back. I also got some things." Nightmare smiled softly, going over and sitting by Dream. Nightmare showed Dream what he had behind his back. "Woah, did you make that?!" Dream was amazed at what he saw. Nightmare was holding a mini wooden sculpture of them as babies. "Mmhm. Happy birthday Dreamy." Nightmare smiled. "Aww, I feel bad! I didn't get the chance to get you anything!" Dream pouted a bit. "You did too! You gave me your smile! That's all I need from my little bro." Nightmare grins. Dream gasps and smiled before cuddling Nightmare suddenly. "Then I gave you a good gift! Happy birthday to you too Nighty!" Dream smiled brightly. Nightmare cuddles Dream in return, trying to keep him and Dream warm. "Let's sleep, okay?" Nightmare starts rubbing circles into Dream's back, knowing Dream needed help to fall asleep. Dream yawned and nodded, slowly falling asleep, Nightmare falling asleep with him.
