                        ~Nishinoya POV~
   
                               At the ER
                               2:43 AM

"Yuu Nishinoya?" A quiet voice says walking into the empty waiting room. I was half asleep laying on the couch until I heard the voice and slowly sat up.

"Y-yeah?" I said with a quiet raspy voice.

"Your friend's arm is in a lot worse condition than we thought, and his body too..so he might be here for a couple more days." The doctor replied. I then got that one feeling in my chest- ya know that really heavy feeling, and it's not a very good one.

"I suggest you go home for now to get some rest, and we will contact you and your friends when Shoyo is ready to leave." The doctor said with a soft smile on her face.

I slowly sat all the way up and slipped my shoes on. Ready to leave. Before I left I decided to go check on Sho one more time. Once I got to his room I immediately saw that he was wide awake and just laying there.

I slightly tapped on the glass between us, loud enough that he could hear it. Once our eyes made contact, I gave him a soft smile, and he just smiled back.

That's when I knew everything was gonna be alright.

   

                            or so I thought.

In those five days that Sho was in the hospital, a lot, and I mean a lot, has changed.

"Cmon Akino! We're gonna be late!" I shouted to behind me. You may be wondering, 'who's Akino?' Well uh, she's this girl I met. And I honestly can not get over her.

Like- shes literally perfect? Perfect hair, perfect voice, perfect style, perfect- everything! She's so sweet and adorable and probably the coolest person I've ever met.

I met her from school, she's like brand new here. We sorta met through.. dorms. Yeah I had to switch dorms because of the system and how many students there are.

I should probably text Shoyo about the dorm switch.. eh I can do it later.

"I'm coming I'm coming!" She shouted back and we both let out a chuckle.

We were on our way to hang out with Suga and Daichi at the arcade and we were running kinda late so we had to run. But if was pretty funny considering our heights.

Oh yeah and that! She's fricking shorter than me! I mean I wouldn't say that's a good thing but— still, how could she get any better?

oh and I say, she got better.

This girl, and oh my god when I say she's good at video games I MEAN she's good at video games. Everyone in the arcade was surrounding us, watching Akino play this one game that no one could ever beat.

Can you guess what happened next?

Yes, of course she beat the game. Everyone in the arcade was cheering as tickets were being poured out of the machine, the large electronic bot yelling "WINNER WINNER WINNER!"

Her name shot up the leader board putting her at first place with 206,493 points.

And the smile that was spread across her face, I mean wow she looked so happy. And I know it's just a video game, no need to get dramatic but like- she just beat the world record for the hardest video game in Miyagi! That's insane dude.

3 hours later

We left the arcade a while ago, grabbing some food then starting to head home afterwards.

"I still can't believe you beat that game Akino. You're seriously amazing oh my god." I said while taking a sip of water.

She giggled and said "Thanks Nishinoya! I use to game alllll the time when I was a kid so it wasn't really that difficult." She responded turning around starting to walk backwards.

After a while of walking and talking we got back to the college and started heading to the dorm.

"Nishinoya where are you going?" Akino turned and asked.

I was confused until I looked up and realized I was heading to the West wing, where my old dorm was with Shoyo, when my new dorm is in the south wing.

Wait a second...

"Oh shit oh shit...OH SHIT" I yelled immediately trying to find my phone in my pockets.

"Wait what, what's wrong are you alright?" Akino responded fully turning around and speed walking over to me.

"Look, I have to be somewhere like right now, you head back to the dorm and I'll be there soon okay? Okay." I quickly said, patting her head then running in the other direction.

Today was the day I was supposed to pick up Sho from the hospital and I completely forgot.

Jesus Christ how could I be so stupid..

A car would be really nice right now but of course I don't have a licence, nor an actual vehicle.

I ran as fast as I could to the hospital and as I got there I could see Shi'a doctor talking with the registration lady in the waiting room.

"Hey! Hi yes do you remember me?" I quickly asked running into the waiting room, loss of breath.

"Uhh... you do look pretty familiar." She quietly responded. I lifted my head up still breathing heavily and I could see the recognition on her face.

"Oh! Hello Yuu! If you are looking for Hinata, he went home just about an hour ago. Weren't you supposed to be here to pick him up?" She asked picking up her clipboard and walking over to me.

"I- yeah sorry about that I had- a lot of stuff to catch up on." I replied still not having much breath from all the running.

"Oh no I completely understand. If you'd like I could get one of the ambulances to take you home? I know the walk is pretty far and you probably want to see your friend." She said, bending down to be able to look at me.

I looked back up and thought about it for a moment before saying yes.

                         20 minutes later

I had finally arrived back to the college and immediately ran to the west wing to check my old dorm. And what do you know, I go up and the door is unlocked.

Geez, of course he didn't lock the door.

I kind of chuckled before opening it and seeing Sho sitting on the bed just kind of staring at stuff.

"Uh.. hey man" I awkwardly said walking into the room and shutting the door behind me.

He paused for a minutes before saying "Hi"

That's it. Just a simple hi. He wasn't energetic, excited, none of that! I wonder what's going on.

"So uhh-"

"Nishinoya where is your stuff?"

Aaaaaand that's a wrap! Aghhh I'm really sorry guys for updating so late all the time, I just lose motivation so easily, and then there's school too and it's just all so- agshsjsjxnd. But anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and have a great day/night <3
