"Turnabout to Survive" (Trial Day 1; Part 2)

Aoi is now standing on the witness stand and introduces herself to the court.

Judge: "Witness are you ready to beginn your testimony?"

Aoi: "I-I'm a little nervous, but I think i'll be fine."

Phoenix: "You just have to speak about what happened when you were in the dining hall the Day of the murder. The same thing you told me yesterday."

Aoi: "Yeah. I'll do that!"

Judge: "Then please beginn with your testimony."

~Witness Testimony~

"What happened in the cafeteria"

Aoi: "The night of the murder I was drinking some tea at the dining hall with a friend."

Aoi: "While we were dinking and talking Sayaka came by and went into the kitchen."

Aoi: "She came back out after a minute or so. She said she just wanted a glass of water".

Aoi: "I think she went back to her room after that."

Aoi: "Thats all I can remember"

Byakuya: "So I have a little question: Why did the Victim come all the way to the dining hall just for a glass of water?"

Aoi: "You mean Sayaka? Sayaka doesn't own any glasses I think and... well the water for the rooms is turned off at nighttime so the only way to get a drink would be at the kitchen..."

Byakuya: "I see. So now that that is settled, why don't you question your witness a little further, Mr. Wright?"

Phoenix: "Why would I want to do that?"

Byakuya: "Because: The witnesses testimony in it's current state does not proove an alibi for the defendent. Right now all it tells us is that the victim went to get a drink of water before eventuelly winding up killed."

Maya: "He does have a point there, Nick."

Phoenix: "I know that!"

Maya: "I could swear that what she said now was a bit less then what she had told us yesterday."

Phoenix: "Yeah, I feel the same way. Let's try to extract the things she has forgotten!"

Phoenix: "Your Honor, the Defense wuld like to cross examine the witness!"

Judge: "You may start your cross examination, Mr Wright.

~Cross Examination~

Aoi: "The night of the murder I was drinking some tea at the dining hall with a friend."

>HOLD IT!<

Phoenix: Do you remember something being out of place anywhere?

Aoi: "N-no... I'm sure that when I got my tea, everything was normal."

Phoenix: "Please append that statement to your testimony, miss Asahina."

Aoi: "Uh, yeah sure. I'll do that."

Aoi: "When I got my tea from the kitcen everything was normal."

Aoi: "While we were dinking and talking Sayaka came by and went into the kitchen."

Aoi: "She came back out after a minute or so. She said she just wanted a glass of water".

Aoi: "I think she went back to her room after that."
