The stars were awry. It was a clear night, no clouds shielding the moon and blocking it's illuminating rays. The glittering stars came together to present the onlookers with a breathtaking view, just like a painter having brazenly attempted to paint a picture. It was peaceful. Perhaps it was one of the best nights to be out partying, stargazing or just hanging out with your friends.

Not for Fabrianne.

The stargazing idea was quite tempting, but on the other hand partying had never been her thing. There wasn't anything particularly imposing about it either. She was anti-social to start off with, yet having two best friends who were social butterflies - Adelita knew how to mingle -didn't ease her worries either. It also meant almost never spending time in peace.

Her town might be small, but it was almost always lively. Strange, really. Even if Mistview was well off, with no overly poor people present there, one thing that never settled well with her was the area where the most richest people of her town lived at. She had only passed that area one or twice, since it was at the far off edge of the town, and was close to the forest.

Now, with the arrival of the new students Fabrianne and many other students of her school were delivered the chance to venture into the richest part of the town.

The E-block. 'E' standing for 'Elite' as she thought.

One of the new students called Bryan something, a haughty boy as far as Sage had picked up from the startling amount of gossip flying around, was holding a party where the entire school was invited. Fabrianne didn't bother entertaining the idea.

Axel, someone who she had started secretly shipping Sage with, had asked them if they were coming. All three girls were naturally invited so they answered in the positive. Fabrianne did it mostly to not be bothered about it again. Thankfully, they had moved onto another topic then.

"Fabrianne Martin, if you don't come to the party then we're no longer going to be friends!". It was amusing how Sage almost every time threatened her with that card, "I mean if our friendship is that weak then sure".

Sage puffed her cheeks out in annoyance, and Fabrianne's hands twitched with the sudden desire to smack them, "Sage, I'm sorry, but you know I loathe parties with every fiber of my being. Even more than I hate mushrooms and olives. I'd rather just stay in bed and be-".

"Lazy as a potato, yes we know", Adelita peered up from Fabrianne's bed, knowing very well how this conversation will end.

Sage groaned, "Oh come on, it took me ages to convince Lita that parties can be fun. Don't make me do it all again".

"Yeah they can be surprisingly fun. If you count the drama that is".

"Sorry to break it to you, but I'm not Adelita".

"Yeah, she can never be as cool as me".

The pillow thrown at her face hit her shoulder. "Your aim sucks just as you do", Adelita grinned, only to let out a startled yelp at the rabbit plushie hitting her face.

"Anyways, the point is that I hate parties. End of story". With a dramatic roll of her amber eyes that had been highlighted by smokey eye shadow and a eyeliner wing that took ages for her to perfect, Sage marched over to the bean bag which she remembered was as old as the first day she came into Fabrianne's room, and plopped down onto it. The image of her five feet seven inch figure sinking into it was quite comical to the girls seated on the bed.

"I hate you", Sage mumbled, and Fabrianne beamed, knowing she had won this argument yet again, "Love you too. Now come on, I'll do your hair for you".
