Gummy Bears (Young Hiro and Tadashi one-shot)

"I'm bored 'Dashi" four year old Hiro whined at his eight year old brother.

"Go help aunt Cass at the cafe then" Tadashi remained preoccupied with his drawing. Hiro wondered what he was drawing.

"I'm not gonna do work! That's even more bo'wing" Hiro pouted with his ever-so-cute toddler voice.

"Ugh" Tadashi spun around on his swivel chair and looked at Hiro, and finally gave in. "What do you want to do?"

"Gummy bears! Gummy bears!" He smiled from ear to ear, jumping on the spot.

"I saw aunt Cass put some in the pantry yesterday! A full packet! Let's see if they're still there" Tadashi and Hiro ran down the stairs to the kitchen, making sure aunt Cass wasn't near. She never let them in the kitchen, they'd eat everything.

"Clea'w?" Hiro asked.

"Clear"

The brothers walked towards the pantry, and as Tadashi opened it, a heavenly glow seemed to shine out. There they were. The gummy bears!

"Yummy! Yummy! Yummy!" Hiro bounced around. He reached for the packet but Tadashi pulled it away.

"Uh uh. Not yet. We're gonna make some ice-pops first!" Tadashi smiled as he pulled out a bottle of lemonade from the fridge and poured some in an ice-pop container. Then he let Hiro drop in some gummy bears. Hiro's consisted mainly of red and green ones, they were his favourites, and he left the orange, yellow and white ones for Tadashi. He didn't mind, as long as his little brother was happy.

"Now, time to put them in the freezer" Tadashi smiled as he opened the freezer door, but, as he opened the door, Hiro bumped into him and a bag of frozen peas and an ice container fell out, making a huge noise and splattering ice everywhere.

"Boys? Are you okay up there?" Aunt Cass sang out as her footsteps began thudding on the stairs.

Hiro gasped, tears threatening to spill "I don't wanna get in twuble, 'Dashi" he made puppy dog eyes.

"If we get caught, I take the blame. Hurry, hurry! Get the ice off the floor!" Tadashi whispered. Hiro frantically ran across the room and grabbed the ice, throwing them in the bin. Tadashi quickly put the bag of peas back in the freezer and the now empty ice container. Then they stood side by side, waiting for Cass.

She eyed them. Something was up.

"What are you two doing in the kitchen?" She crossed her arms and tapped her foot on the floor.

Hiro gulped and looked up at Tadashi.

"W-we came down to see what th-that noise was" Tadashi smiled innocently.

"O..kay" aunt Cass took a good look at the boys one, last time before disappearing back downstairs. What the brothers didn't know was that Cass didn't completely walk down. She was waiting for them to speak.

"I told you I wouldn't let you get in trouble" Tadashi ruffled Hiro's already messy, black hair.

"I wuv you 'Dashi" Hiro hugged his older brother with a smile across his lips.

Aunt Cass heard the whole thing "Aww" she wiped a stray tear from her eye. Her little nephews we're growing up.

"Or maybe it wasn't you who stopped me from getting in trouble.." Hiro started "Maybe it was the super gummy bear powers"

Cass rolled her eyes with a smile and thought aloud "Or maybe not"
