Loving you is never ending - Merder

Someone Familiar

-1:00 am- Meredith was fast asleep when she heard a car outside. She slowly got up and went downstairs to look out the window. Someone was here, but not Maggie or Amelia. It was pitch black outside so she couldn't see much. The car door opened and a man stepped out. Who is that? Mer thought. The man walked up to the door. Meredith silently crept over. Then, the doorbell rang. She froze. That car... she thought. I've seen it before... The doorbell rang again. She held her breath as she walked over, and opened the door. Tears filled her eyes as she saw the love of her life standing there.
"DEREK!" Meredith exclaimed. He embraced her in a tight hug and touched her face.  They kissed. Derek wiped her tears and stared into her eyes like he was never gone.
"Meredith," he said smiling. "Sit down, let me explain, you have to be wondering." They walked over to the couch and sat down. Meredith was concerned. "Ok, it's a long story." His love for her never left his gaze. "You remember I was headed to D.C for my brain mapping. But there was something I couldn't tell you." He took a pause. "They were doing experiments. Horrible things to innocent people. They forced me to stay against my own will, but obviously I got away. I reported everything, and I don't know how soon this story will get out to the public, it'll be nasty." Meredith was at a loss for words.
"I- I watched you get unplugged!"
"That wasn't me Meredith, you don't know all the things these horrible people can do." She leaned back and took a breath, trying to process everything.
"So. You're sure that you're Derek Shepherd?" she said jokingly. Derek laughed. Then, Meredith realized the extent of how long he'd been gone, and how much she missed him. She burst into tears, and Derek comforted her.
"I'm not leaving you again." He reassured her.
"Well, there's something big that you need to know," Meredith said with a smile. "Remember before you left for D.C, we tried for another baby? Well there is someone you should meet." She took a breath. "You have another daughter Derek," she said, her eyes misty. They both got up, and went up the stairs. "Okay," Mer whispered, "Meet Ellis." She slowly opened the door and he walked in. "Ellis honey, someone's here to meet you!" Meredith said quietly. "Derek, I'm going to get Zola and Bailey and bring them in here." Meredith woke up Zola and Bailey and brought them into Ellis's room. Derek's eyes were filled with tears, he had missed this family so much.
"DADDY!" Zola said as she ran into his tight embrace. Bailey was confused, he had been a baby when Derek left. But it only took a minute for him to be in his arms too. Meredith picked up Ellis and said, "This is your daddy Ellis, he's so happy to see you, can you give him a hug?" Ellis gave Derek a big hug and he kissed her forehead. Everyone was smiling and it was all ok.
