So real quick, I'm not very knowledgeable in Chinese/Asian mythology but tried my best. If you notice something and want it changed please let me know. This isn't meant to be offensive as I love the culture but know very little. Thanks!

Also this gets a little dark...just be warned it gets dark. (Main trigger: Implied Rape)

"...Good morning Ren," Ayumu's eyes drift between the floor and Ren's face.

"Good morning host," Ren smiles trying to reassure Ayumu, "How are you feeling today?"

"Ok," Ayumu nods, "A little tired and sore but overall alright...did...did I say anything that...that made you mad...I...I...I didn't mean to if I did...sorry..."

"Oh no, not at all host," Ren interjects before he spirals, "You didn't say anything bad or anything that even made me close to mad at you."

"Phew," he wipes his hand over the invisible sweat on his forehead, "I'm glad."

The two of them pause and awkward silence falls over the two of them. "Uh-well, do you want to get prepared for the fox world?"

"Yep, sounds good..." Ayumu nods and as he does a light flashes over the area leading him to the same meadow he walked through for his first world. He looks down at his new body and his facial expression turns complicated. He can't see his face but he can see the hair and body. He is supposed to be different people...right? So why do they all look so similar?

Shaking his head he decides to ask Ren later, for now, he has to make his way to the portal. Just before he enters the portal he turns around and sees his fluffy new tails. Wait tails? Another question for Ren. Quickly he tests trying to flex it only to find it was really easy to move. Moving on he enters the portal and his head spins as the swirly vortex takes him to the next world.

"Oof," Jingyi lets out as he looks around. He looks like he is in a bedroom? His? Slowly he gets up feeling his head pounding. He flinches when he sees the mirror right across from his bead. A pretty face with black hair, blue eyes, light skin yet freckled...yeah he looks almost exactly the same as the last world! The only real difference is muscle mass.

"Welcome host," Ren calls out only to see Jingyi flinch again. He lowers his voice and continues, "You are currently in your bedroom. Just a warning, but he has a few servants and one of them has the task of waking you up. If you would like I can transfer the memories now and most likely you'll be seen or we can save it for later?"

"...How loyal is the servant coming to wake me up?" Jingyi smiles listening to his new voice. Once again it's similar but the tone is colder and somehow more seductive. Almost like a chase me if you can voice...

"Very, she was a kid who was saved by you after having been taken from her home. Like you, she was going to be sold by human slavers. Either way, long story short she holds you as a savior and tends to think of you as a parent figure." Ren quickly informs.

"I see, and her name? What kind of spirit is she?" Jingyi asks while tilting his head.

"Uh...well. Not to shock host but she is a Ruishi..."

"A ruishi?!! What's such a figure doing working under Jingyi?! Ruishi is a snow lion, right? The snow lion which is a celestial animal? Or wait. This is supposed to be a Chinese based world right? So a protector of the Buddha..." Jinyi panics, looking at the door in confusion and utter bafflement.

"Host...she-please calm down. She wants to work under you and she was given a chance by the emperor to work directly with him. She refused. She prefers to work under you, in this case because you allow her to be more herself. She is more playful and to quote her, 'I don't want to work under a stuffy old man! I want to work with this fool!'"

"...ok rude but..." Jingyi smiles and chuckles, "How did she even get captured if she is such a powerful figure?"

"Apparently she was a small cub when their house was smoked by this weird gas which put everyone to sleep. As she was struggling to stay awake she caught sight of the people kidnapping her but couldn't move."

"A gas? Do you know what it was Ren?" Jingyi's face doesn't hesitate as it falls into a cold neutral expression.

"I am not sure myself, I was only able to gather that it was the FL who captured this cub. Oh yeah her name An."

"An? Wait, more importantly, the FL? She's trying to take this country's people? Wha..." He trails off when he hears a gentle knock on the door. Jingyi quietly whispers to Ren to give him the memories.

"Jingyi? Are you still sleep-!" The girl is dressed fancily and he can hear the clanking of her accessories as she rushes over.

Jingyi's body was curled into a ball, sweat dripping from all over his body, his face scrunched in pain. "Guiying! Get over here! The captain isn't looking good!"

Jingyi struggles to keep his eyes open only for them to close as the door opens and the sweet smell of flowers flows into the room.

——sorry to interrupt but this is where it gets dark and could trigger some people——

The original Jingyi's memories flow into his brain. He watches as the small fox runs around his small hometown. The place is definitely old, dirty, run-down yet he can't help but smile at the warm faces, the friendliness, and peace of this place. His smile gets sadder as he watches his mom's health slipping away. Her body was thin, cold, barely strong enough to breathe...then she dies. He watches as the small fox struggles to get over the pain, how his father struggles to work and take care of him.

Jingyi takes over the house duties, not wanting to put pressure on his father. The carefree kid soon had calluses on his hands from chopping wood, has burns from cooking, had sores from the freezing temperatures of the river. The kid grows, the two coexisting yet still feel empty. The hole from his mother's death forever holding on.

Then, one day he goes to the forest. He usually goes just to grab some firewood but this time he wanted to check for any edible herbs. Happy with his haul he heads back, back to his father, to his friends, to the people of the small village...and stops.

The items in his hands drop and he runs. He runs straight into the burning town. He could hear the clashing of metal, he could hear screams. Despite this, he doesn't turn to look for much other than his house. He could hear the pleas from mothers to not kill their children. He could hear the children balling as their mothers either died or...well we all know what a lot of people did to their female prisoners.

He makes it to his house, it wasn't far from the edge of town yet it felt like forever. His house was burning and the smoke made it hard to see but he could hear screams. Very...familiar screams. He watches as the little fox rushes in trying to save his father only to be picked up from behind. The fox turns only to see a monster. The human's deranged eyes, his excited smile, his creepy body language. Of course, he fights. The slaver clearly has experience, as when he swipes with his claws he gets slammed into the wall and knocks out.
