A sudden thunder came, rolling overhead as a bright flash spread out within the skies for a split-second, then came the sounds. Ear-splitting, violent cracks boomed across the darkening clouds, eventually dissipating into a rumbling sound that echoed throughout the vast lands.
Trembling in fright, you grit your teeth, forcing yourself to calm down to save yourself from further embarrassment. With clenched fists, you struggled to battle the ongoing panic growing inside your chest.
Then it was suddenly hard to breathe, the only thing you could feel was the erratic rhythm of your rapidly beating heart as your shoulders shook with fear when another piercing thunderclap burst, this time louder than before. At this, you couldn't help but let out a short shriek, jumping closer to the stranger.
