Ink heaved himself up onto the window ledge, sighing as he slid his hand under the window latch, with a slight 'click', he slipped under.

The bathroom was surprisingly clean, yet surprisingly neat for a gang of six members, including Error that is.
The room was murky and looked like it hadn't been used for years. Cobwebs lined every wall and every corner, sending trembles down the artist's spine.

He trod his way through the dimly lit bathroom, being very cautious to not make any disturbance. Dream had warned the artist that he felt his crown was in the Donjon, a tower that the king and queen stays in, but he didn't know what tower to choose from. He doubted he had time to search both, so, with an abrupt eeny, meeny, he concluded the right-wing would be the place he looked.
-
With a shoot of a cyan arrow, the battle had begun.
Killer was the first to attack, attempting to stab the guardian of positivity, but of course, Dream managed to dodge the minor attack.
Cross soon locked eyes with swap, the weakest of the star sans, but counting dream and ink as immortal gods, you could see why he had that label.

Cross swung his oversized knife at the smaller, muttering as he did.
Swap spawned a bone and held off cross's attack as horror snuck up behind him.
-
"Ok," ink thought, "I don't have much time" he began to move slowly around the castle sooner, trying not to get distracted by the dark purple and gold walls that covered the halls.

He sighed, seeing no sign of anyone in the castle but him. Ink only hoped Dream could hold them off long enough for him to get the guardian's crown and his paintbrush.

He turned the right corner to be greeted by a grand staircase. He shrugged as he began to walk up the red carpet, sliding his hand along the golden trim. "Fancy", he thought.
-
"Watch out!" Dream cried as he shot an arrow into horror's already opened skull.
The insane sans screamed as he held his now oozing red eye.
Dream knew it was unnecessary to use someone's trauma against them, but with a sigh of relief, at least his friend was alive.
"Bastard!" A hooded sans yelled as he shot a broken bone at the guardian. Once again Dream effortlessly dodged.

The guardian looked around, privately counting the attackers. "Horror, dust, cross, killer- Where is nightmare?!" He silently panicked.
It was normal Error didn't show.
-
Ink ascended to the top of the tower, his head tilting as he stared at the grand door, just down the hall from him. "Kind of strange to have such a grand stairway only to lead to a door" he wondered. This has to be where the crown is.

He clasped the golden doorknob and slightly began to twist, being incredibly careful to not make a sound, as if someone was waiting for him on the other side.
He squeaked the door open slightly and looked through the small crack he had made.

The room was dark, the light of the hallway seeped into the dark like sharpie did on cloth.
Even with the light, it was too dark to see the interior of the area.
He pushed the door open all the way to give him some light and started to look around.

The first thing to catch his artistic eyes was the gothic theme the room had, but something shone in the corner, Dream's crown sat still on what looked like a small table, Ink's brush stood next to it on the floor.

He smiled, his mission was a success! He began walking to the items, not caring about his footsteps.

Then he heard small shuffling from next to him.

He looked over, realising the crown was set on a nightstand...next to a queen-sized bed.
Either the (self-proclaimed) king of darkness spoiled his gang members, or this was Nightmare's bed, and he was sleeping in it.

Ink's breath hitched as he reached towards the crown, his fingertips inches away.
He could see himself in the reflection of the crown.
He reached over more, "come on," he thought as sweat slipped down his forehead.

With just the tips of his fingers, the grabbed the golden crown. A huff escaping his mouth as he relived himself.

'SLAM' ink gasped as he looked behind him, the light of the door now leaving the room a murky purple. Ink suddenly dropped the crown, a neat clank hitting the gloomy carpet.

He held his breath scared to look if the had woke the 'king'.
His body trembled as his chest fastened.

"Just what do you think your doing, artist." A husky voice called from the darkness.
Ink turned to the bed seeing nightmare sat upon it.

"H-hello! Just getting my broomy and Dream's crown, then I'll be off!" Ink chuckled as be bent down to pick up the crown, hoping there was a chance he could get away with it and nightmare can just be ok with that.

Ink cried as a tentacle grabbed him by the stomach and pulled him onto the bed with Nightmare, who took no time in pinning the artist down.

"Nightmare!" Ink cried out as he tried to jerk his way out as the taller held both his hands above his head.
He took one hand anyway from ink's and rested it on the artist's cheek.

"Naughty boy." He mumbled, making ink blush.
"Gay," the artist thought.
-
Dream huffed as he fought the others, he was anxious about what was taking his friend so long and agreed he probably got caught by his brother.

The guardian looked to his partner, who's left arm was badly injured and bleeding.
He looked to Nightmare's gang, who was also injured.

He decided enough was enough, he grabbed swap and fled throw a portal that lead to the doodlesphere.

Cover artist: who else then me.
(Only saying because someone kicked off about giving credit and stealing art, apparently I can't draw and everything in my art book is stolen!)
Hope you enjoy. I know it may seem a tad confusing now but it'll make sense soon I promise!
Good night everyone!

(In this book nightmare and dream both remain male skeletons).

Question: if I were to eat myself, would I grow twice as big or completely disappear?
