YOU JOKED WITH kirishima and denki, the whole class was chilling in the common area. it was a saturday night, you had your blanket around you as the three of you teased each other in the kitchen.

"speaking of which kami can you charge my phone?" you laughed out, holding your device to the yellow haired boy.

he grinned, "bet! kiri let's play mario kart in my room," denki told eijiro.

"i'll make sure he doesn't break your phone," kirishima smiled and gave you a quick thumbs up before following kaminari to his dorm. you chuckled with a smile, nodding and sending a thumbs up their way. todoroki, who had just arrived in the kitchen, turned around with a bottled water in his hand.

he closed the refrigerator door with his heel, holding his drink as he headed towards the counter where you sat. "l/n," todoroki called, making you turn your head. the ice and fire quirked male tossed you a hershey kisses which you caught.

you smiled, "thanks sho," you thanked your best friend as you unwrapped the chocolate, throwing it in the air and making it land straight into your mouth. todoroki watched as you ate the chocolate, furrowing his brows a bit as he tried to mock your smile.

he made a line with his lips but continued trying as you talked with jirou. when the short violet haired girl left you saw shoto making facial expressions at the corner of your eye.

you turned turned to your dual haired classmate and tilted your head a little when you saw his face. "what are you doing?" you laughed a little with a toothy grin.

now todoroki tilted his head, "i don't think i'm doing this right." he went back to his normal facial expression.

you perked a brow and sat up straight, "doing what?" you asked with your arm rested up on the counter.

"your smile," he answered, then took a sip out of his water.

you raised your brows a little, "is there something in my teeth? do i have food in them?" you asked, covering your mouth.

todoroki shook his head, swallowing his drink. "i just can't do it right." todoroki stared at you.

you moved your hand away from your mouth, "why are you trying to mock mine?" you asked, genuinely curious.

todoroki pursed his lips a little, "i like your smile, it's pretty." he answered, not thinking much about the words that had just came out of his mouth. he noticed your cheeks get tinted with pink, "did i do something? are you okay? i didn't mean to offend you," shoto worriedly told you.

you shook your head, "no, it's not that. just people aren't that straight forward about saying that to someone," you answered, which made todoroki make an "o" shape with his mouth at your words.

"well people should," todoroki responded, drinking his water again.

you let out a breathy laugh, "maybe your should smile more often shoto," you told your friend.

he furrowed his brows and placed his water bottle on the counter, "what? why?" he asked.

you chuckled, "i like it when you smile. it gives me reassurance, it makes me feel safe. your smile makes me feel like everything will be okay," you told him. shoto raised his eyes brows a little at your comment, nodding.

"if you want me to i guess i will," he said.

you grinned, "you know, maybe you should laugh more while you're at it." you said.

todoroki looked up at you, "i'll try my best." he nodded.

you parted your lips a little as you stared at the boy before you, nodding a bit with a small smile. "good."
