After the holidays Keira had refused to enter the great hall for meal, but it was all fine as long as she had Connie. Who had told her many times she was being "fucking dramatic"
"Ya know you gotta eat at one point," Connie stated as they sat outside during lunch.
"Well, I'd rather starve then deal with the dirty looks Potter keeps givin' me," Keira grumbled.
"You. Rather starve. Merlin are you doing okay."
"Oh haha very funny."
"You have to go in at some point. And what' about Neville?" The girl inquired.
"What about 'im " Keira shrugged
"Keira"
"What?! has he spoken to me? No. So he thinks what the others think."
"Ask him" Connie pointed over to a tree. And there he sat, reading. " besides I have to go-"
"See Draco?"
"No"
"..."
"Yes"

As she approached the tree Keira felt her nerves skyrocket. And as she got closer she noticed that some of Neville's injuries were still visible. And although a sense of guilt washed over her, Keira took a deep breath and went on.
"Neville" she called as she reached the tree.
The boy looked up through his brown curls that lay on his forehead.
" oh hello, Keira." He said sweetly, standing up, dusting himself off. "I haven't seen you around since before the holidays. How are you?"
"I've been better." Keira reply hugging her books to her chest.
"Oh really" he sounded concerned. "What's the matter, are you okay?" Neville questioned stepping closer, the smell of parchment and potting soil reaching Keira's senses.
"I need to talk to you. About the day Vince a-, I mean what Crabbe and Goyle did." Keira looked to the ground, although she herself had not done anything, she felt the shame from it. "Neville, after what Potter had said to me that night, I've chosen to stay away, I figured you thought the same thing as he did and wouldn't want me around."
"How could I not want you around? I know you're not like that." Neville took Keira's hand to show he meant the words he spoke. "And besides harry can be a bit up himself sometimes." He pointed out causing them both to chuckle.
*meanwhile in a random corridor."
"So Carlyle and Longbottom aye?" Draco laughed. " hope she's not actually going to go out with him."
"And why would that be? " Connie raised an eyebrow.
"Because, it's not right. Him being a Gryffindor and all."
"I'm a Gryffindor, doesn't that make....whatever this is 'not right'?" Connie was offended by the fact that Draco had basically slandered her house.
"No no no, this is different!" Draco panicked, placing his hand on Connie's cheek.
"I don't see how." She started, anger in her tone, turning and leaving Draco standing there alone in the corridor
