Yello, so here we go.Yesterday (Monday), I went to the orthodontist, dentist, and oral surgeon. We went to the oral surgeon bc my orthodontist has been telling me that my jaw is too far back and we need to have surgery to move it up. I might've already said something abt this but I can't really remember lol. (I went back and checked, I did)
Okay so, went to the dentist, no cavities yay. Went and got a debit card for the first time ever, no biggie. (IM JOKING IM SO FKING HAPPY OMG) Then we went and got lunch (Qdoba veggie bowl if you were wondering.) Then to the orthodontist, three more teeth came in so we got brackets on them, my mouth is literally so sore and I can't eat anything it feels so weird lol. Oh, and I got these blue things called "mountains" on my teeth to make sure I don't bite any brackets off. They changed my bottom wire, kept the top the same, and laced my teeth together bc I have a gap?? It came out of nowhere Ig because I've had braces since 6th grade and no ones said anything abt it but wtv. Orthodontist asked if we've seen the oral surgeon yet we told her no but we're seeing him later in the day. Then we finish up on my teeth and make the next appointment.
We leave, and then go get sonic drinks ✌️😌
OH YEAH, I forgot to say that it was my mom & my sister with me :))
So, we arrive at the oral surgeon place and check in, check my temperature, and sit down. It was just me and my mom because I'm a minor so I have to have an adult with me, and my sister took the car to go see some friends.
We get called back like five por ten minutes later, then the lady introduces herself and says she helped with my other two sisters wisdom teeth removal. She talks to my mom for a bit, then leaves to grab the doctor. She comes back a couple minutes later, the guy comes in, looks at my mouth, explains some stuff to my mom, shows me this video that is basically what they do during the surgery, then tells me that he recommends the surgery, I would need to get y wisdom teeth out before then (9-12 months before the surgery) how it's a long process (2-3 over night hospital stay, 2-3 week recovery, 3-4 month rehabilitation.) and the risks (depression(which we already have) and some other stuff I can't remember) then he talks to my mom about my dad and my sister then leaves.
We left, my sister wasn't back yet so we walked to this gas station that was only like a block away from the place, and then I got some food from a subway that was attached to the gas station, and my mom called my dad. My sister came like ten minutes later, came inside and sat with me asking how the appointment went and who my mom was talking to, then another ten or twenty minutes later we left and headed back home.
I fell asleep on the ride home, so nothing interesting there.
When we got home my dad asked what I wanted to do and how I was feeling about it, then told me it was my choice for wether or not we do the surgery, and here we are :)
I'm thinking I'll probably do it, but I don't know yet. It's called "jaw corrective surgery" if you wanted to look it up or anything, but yea.
