I sighed and shook my head, "Lydia, keep your head out of my ass. I get that you're nosey but it's my business, not yours hunny," I snapped. She gasped and Aria and Katherine laughed while Rebekah stood there astoundedly. "You absolute bitch!" she said still gaping at me in shock. She walked forward and raised her hand to slap me but I caught it with my hand. "I'm tired of your constant obsession with my life and what I get up to. Sorry babe but I'm not telling you. Now back the fuck up before I beat your ass," I growled lowly. She slipped her arm out of my grasp and I watched as tears filled up her eyes. Katherine was clapping, Aria smirking, and Rebekah bouncing up and down. Then I raised my eyebrow at her. How had she gotten back so quickly? I shrugged it off and shifted my gaze back to Lydia's eyes, not daring to look away and seem weak. Because truth be told, I am not weak. I am strong, and Lydia is not intimidating. As I glared holes into her eyes, she finally gulped and looked away.

"Tell me who it was," she said, her voice barely loud enough to hear.

"Do I really need to smack you to get it in your head? I. Am. Not. Telling. You," I said, enunciating every word I spoke.

"Fine. Then I'll spread rumors. Just like whoever you fucked spread your legs," she sighed.

"He didn't spread them, I spread them for him," I winked.

"Lydia. We don't want a fake bitch who spreads fake rumors in our group. You're kicked out," Katherine chuckled, checking our faces for our reactions. I smirked, Aria held back a laugh and Rebekah nodded, looking more confused than ever.

For a second, I did feel a bit bad for her. But then I thought about it. How many times she had told everyone our secrets, all the times she made fake rumors about me- and our friend group in particular. Everything she's done, she deserves it! Lydia stormed out, tears vigorously and quickly dropping. Suddenly I felt really bad, she had been in the friend group since before I was. Since before school even started! They all live nearby to each other in average houses but I lived in a large, posh manor. Actually, her personality was alive and brought the group to life. Guilt stirred at the bottom of my stomach, but I pushed it down and watched as my other friends began talking about her.

"No, but she's always in my business! It's not fair, she needs to get her head out of other people's asses and fucking focus on life because if she carries on causing so much drama she's gonna be paid a lesson!" Katherine moaned.

"Exactly! And she can't even keep her fat fucking mouth shut!" Aria laughed.

"Right! Yeah. I agree. She's a nosey bitch!" Rebekah giggled.

I sat there, talking shit like a little snake and even exposing some of her secrets that only I would know. Turns out she's been sleeping with a new guy every night... STD much? As I sat there fiddling with my fingers, I lost interest in slagging her off. I sighed and reached for my hairbrush, noticing a small knot forming in my hair. I slowly ran the brush through it, then decided I would get glam. I didn't feel too confident as of now, and I decided I wanted a date. I knew that people liked me; I could be likable at times, and I knew I was hot when I tried. I decided I'd just get Katherine to ask Lestrange; he was quite good-looking and I had heard he had a crush on me. Obviously, I didn't want him in any loving way, just as a date and that's it. Some fun, that's what I wanted. I flicked some eyeliner, then put some glossy-pink lipstick on my plump limps. I put on some smokey eyeshadow and extra-volume mascara. I contoured my face, then finished with some concealer and highlighter. Meanwhile, my friends were hyping me up and laughing, picking out dresses to choose from. I chose a green short dress, with silver heels.

I got Aria to ask him, knowing Katherine would probably be a bit too pushy with him and Rebekah would either forget or ask him for herself. Aria left, and then came back grinning like a Cheshire Cat. "He's gonna go. He agreed to take you to Hogsmeade in an hour," she winked at me, holding back a giggle. I rolled my eyes as I walked into the bathroom to make sure I looked fine. I didn't mean to be big-headed, but I looked stunning. I decided to put on 2 silver rings, one had a silver snake on it and the other had a small jewel on it. I sighed as I stared at myself in the mirror. I looked down and noticed I looked bloated. I clenched my stomach, insecurities kicking in.

I felt sick to my stomach looking at how fat I had become recently. Maybe I should call off the date. Katherine walked in, "Come on baby, you look gorgeous. Don't clench your stomach, you look perfectly fine! In fact, if you're worried you may look bloated or fat, you don't. You look skinny and abso-fucking-lutely outstanding," she complimented, hugging me. Katherine was sometimes a bitch and a snake, but deep down she is just as beautiful as her appearance. She's misjudged. Her bitter, cold front was just how she was raised. She was born into a powerful pure-blooded family, who believed anyone less than half-blood was useless and not worthy of the Wizarding World. However, towards me they were different. They knew my hatred towards my sister and my opinion that mud-bloods are useless so they didn't mind I was related to a muggle-born and I was half-blood. Of course, I despised muggle-borns, they're a disgrace.

Filthy little mud-bloods.

I pulled away from the soothing hug and walked out. By now, it was time for the date and I walked down the stairs to the dormitory. Aiden Lestrange stood there, standing with his hands by his side, head held high. He had on a neat suit, and I walked forward elegantly. His arm looped around mine and we walked outside. We got onto a carriage, but I noticed some kind of animal made of only a skeleton. I reached out and stroked its head. It looked worried at first, but then let me stroke it. "W-What are you doing?" Aiden said, concern tracing in his words.

"Stroking the creature, of course," I laughed.

"There's nothing there. You're stroking ai- oh... Thestrals. You've seen death?" he asked, his voice low and laced with worry and interest.

"Y-yes..." I answered, my voice cracking, the flashbacks immediately coming back.

She was on the floor, begging and gasping for air. Her hands grabbed the air, trying to get me to help. But my friend's life was more important, not some stupid, random muggles'. I turned around, ignoring her desperate, frantic cries for help... for life. I yanked my friend up and dragged her through the burning, crispy building.  As we left, I turned my head. She shook on the floor, as her eyes took a final blink and she took her last breath. Her eyes fluttered shut as she took one last look at the world, her last ever.

I snapped back to reality and stared at Aiden, feeling sick and nervous, my gut churning slowly. As soon as our carriage arrived outside the Hogsmeade village, we got off and headed straight to The Three Broomsticks, so we could chat and have a butterbeer.
