After tryouts Richard and Sophie made their way to his house to go into his pool, since it was still pretty hot outside.
His dad was out of town for a week or so, on a business trip. So it was only him and his mom left in the big house. His dad was a lawyer so he was gone most of the time.
"Hey, how was your first day?" His mom Melissa asked them, kissing Richard's head as he sat down at the kitchen table.
"It was good." Sophie answered, smiling. She really liked Melissa.
"Yeah, didn't do much." Richard told her, grabbing an apple. "Don't eat too much, I'm cooking!" She scolded him, slapping his arm. Sophie smiled at their relationship.
Melissa made a homemade pasta with shrimp, which was delicious. They all sat together at the outside table. "So Sophie, how's your mom?" She asked her son's girlfriend.
"Oh, yeah she's doing ok. Working a bunch." Sophie said, giving her a small smile.
"Yeah, I haven't seen her in a while. I should invite her over again some time." Melissa smiled. It wasn't unusual for Sophie to come to their house after school, since her mom was often working and came home in the late afternoon.
But it made really good money and there was nothing her mom hated more then not having enough money to give Sophie a good live, so she worked through it.
"We're gonna go in the pool." Richard told his mom once they were done eating.
"All right. Have fun." His mom told them, going back inside.
Sophie followed Richard to his room, where their swim clothes were. She had a bunch of clothes at his house, since she spent so much time there.
Sophie put on her favorite black bikini and joined Richard at the pool, setting her phone down at one of the side tables next to a sun lounger that had a towel on it.
Richard was already in the water, diving. When she approached the edge he emerged again and smiled up at her.
"You look beautiful." He told her, watching as she stepped into the water.
Sophie blushed and smiled at the brown haired boy. "Why thank you, kind sir." She said, letting herself glide into the water, diving under.
She swam towards him, making him wrap his arms around her, so that she wouldn't go under the water. Sophie wrapped her arms and legs around him.
