Maria's POV

I have no clue a what I just witnessed.

Everything became quiet. All to be heard was the burning fire and screaming agony of the bandit leader bleeding out in a puddle of his own blood. I stand over the man who I'm guessing just helped us, although... That Liger just protected him. Could he be a Tamer? If so what is wrong with him?

The man is on his knees, shaking and groaning in pain. He doesn't seem to be injured anywhere except for his bloody fists. Could he have been fighting bare handedly?

"help her." he whispered but I didn't hear him.

"what? Do you need help?"

"I said help her!" he bawls out as he jumps to his feet and begins to strut to the injured beast.

"Athena!" I call to her in response to man's request.

Without question she runs over to the Liger and begins treating it. She carefully removes the sword, gets into a kneeling position and casts 'Restorative Blessing' a healing spell which creates a dome of healing light. The creature's wound fades slowly and the breathing of the creature stabilizes.

Mid process the man just enters the dome and as if using Athena's lap as a pillow he just collapses onto her. Through her dark skin I can see the red glow of her blushing as the man's face is planted in her crotch. But she maintains her composure and continues the healing spell.

Mika then wakes up next to me catching my attention with his groans of waking up in pain.

"Did he not kill me?" he asks himself as he attempts to get up.

I immediately use foot shoving down on the nape of his neck, slamming back down into the dirt.

"I wouldn't move if I were you, scumbag."

"So, He did come for you?" his question catches my interest. Even his father came to this conclusion.

"What happened to you?" avoiding his question I'll gather answers of my own.

"What? Why do wanna know?"

"Your in no place to negotiate scum. Either you answer or I kill you and your father over there." I gesture over to the dome of light.

Even though he is flat on his stomach he should be able to see his father, Oberon at the edge of the healing dome. It's not a problem if the bandit is being healed himself. Not like his arm will grow back.

"Aaagh! Father!" Mika Screams as he fights to get to his feet under my heel.

I discipline him by stomping him back into the dirt. Then apply even more pressure to the nape of his neck. He catches on I can can break his neck with the heel of my boot and calms himself. Though clenching his fist out of frustration.

"I don't like repeating myself." I reiterate to my question.

"Okay. Okay."

Before Mika begins explaining Helena and Rosa approach me. Rosa in particular seems impressed by ruthlessness. I quickly order them to go retrieve the lady Nerva and Ellisa.

The man who saved us looks like he's out like a light. The bandit bandit leader is gravely injured and with a missing arm his threat is cut by pretty much half. Lastly Mika here is most likely the last of the bandits.

Mika's POV

This is bad. Everyone is dead and our camp was over run. Now the prisoners have taken over.

The leader wants to know what happened. Why? Didn't that Savage bring the Liger to save them?
