(I saw this fun headcanon and I immediately wanted to write Sondum about it! Also they're all on Jabberwock Island after the despair)

Sonia POV

"Hey Miss Sonia!" Kazuichi said as he leaned a bit closer to me on the dining table.

"Didya ever see Gundham call himself a dude anyways?" He whispered to me, I was puzzled.

"No, not really, 'he' always just calls 'himself' as the dark lord of all evil or other names" I thought to myself out loud.

"Kinda weird dontcha think Miss Sonia? Maybe you shou-" I interrupted him right there, knowing what he was doing.

"I'll go talk to 'him' about it!" A said getting up from my seat and walking to Gundham, who wasn't that far away.

"Damnit" I heard Kazuichi slightly whisper to himself as I left, I kept walking to Gundham.

"Hello Gundham! May I join you?" I said as I waited for his answer before sitting.

"You may dark queen..." he looked a bit confused.

We sat there for a bit while eating Teruteru's fantastic food that he 'Cooked down for us', I think that's the saying, or was it up? Well we were eating and conversing from time to time, and then I asked...

"Gundham?"
"Yes Dark Queen?"
"I've just realized, but you do not apply any gender leaning labels to yourself, is there a reason for that?"
"..."

'He' stared at me, quietly stammering to himself, as if I was a detective who solved an unsolvable case right about now.

"Gundham... what gender are you? Male, as we all say, or female?" I asked again, I realized how that might've sounded insensitive, "You don't have to answer if you're not comfortable with doing so!!".

"I... I am Gundham Tanaka!! Petty thinks like gender do not apply to a dark lord as myself." 'He' smirked to himself while closing his eyes and crossing his arms, I could swear I saw 'him' sweating though.

"So, are you non-binary? I've heard of people that identify their-selves as neither gender!" I said putting my hands together excitedly.

He? They? shot my a worried look, then they covered their face with a their magenta scarf, as if trying to hide their worried expression.

"I- interesting... Why are you asking these questions now anyways..?" ''He?' asked, it was like 'he?' was asking himself with how quite 'he?' said it though..

"You seem not to mind everyone else calling you a 'he', you sort of do present yourself in a masculine form.., but you've never actually confirmed you were a male directly!" I said, thinking aloud.

"I see... I was of the male gender once, biologically I still am." They, definitely they, smirked to me, being a bit more confident, I smiled widely at them and stood up, they looked at me confused.

"Want to go somewhere a bit private with me? Take a stroll on the beach perhaps? We can converse more!" I reached my hand out to them as they took it, we both had goofy smiles on our faces as we walked outside the restaurant, hand-in-hand while looking at each-other.

I could swear I felt someone looking at us, there's a likely chance it was Kazuichi, but I just ignored it.

We arrived at the beach and started walking, we couldn't take out eyes off each-other, I couldn't stop smiling, it seems like they couldn't too.

We sat down on the delicate sand after a while and started talking again.

"Have you told anyone else before? About your true gender?" I asked.

"Yes but... I don't remember any true details of it..." they looked sadly at the sand, I myself was a bit confused.

"How so?".

"Remember our forgotten Highschool memories? Before all the horrid despair caused by Junko Enoshima?" I nodded my head as they spoke.

"I found an old journal from those days... it didn't talk in much detail at all but, it would mention a few things that happened everyday, like this apparently awkward soup incident?" We chuckled, soup? I wonder what had happened... but I waited for them to go on.

"I had apparently told our old teacher, Miss Chisa Yukizome..."

I thought of saying something, but they just continued before I could, they were smiling, but I think I saw a tear fall down their cheek...

"It seemed as if I was excited to, that means she had probably accepted me, I even had the courage to write that..." he paused "That..." I placed my hand on his shoulder and smiled at his teary face, telling him to go on.

"I had the courage to write that I was going to tell all my colleagues, all of you low ranking demons." He smiled at the end there, I smiled back, unfortunately that smile faded in a short while.

"But that was near where the pages stopped... I'm assuming that's were my arc of despair had begun it's burning flame... so I assume I never did tell all of you, except for Miss Yukizome, and now..." He looked at me and gave me a smile with tearing eyes, "You, my Dark Queen..."

I could help but hug him, I wrapped my arms around their neck, they seems shocked at first but gripped my waist, hugging me back. They then took me by surprise and picked my up by the waist and spun us both around, it was so full of joy, a moment we could never forget.

After my feet got back on the brittle sand we looked each other in the eyes with wide smiles, and then we just tightly hugged each other, I had my head in the crook of their neck. I honestly felt something walking on my shoulders?

I let go after a small bit, I realized that the dark Devas were now spread on my shoulders, Gundham looked back at me a bit worried because I pulled away, I simply smiled and put my hand on their cheek.

"Well, you really are the most wonderfully beautiful Dark Lord I've ever met" Blushes and more goofy smiles spawning on both of our faces, their face was definitely more flushed than mine though.

"Th-Thank you!" They basically shouted and used both of their hands to cover their whole face with their iconic scarf, I softly chuckled and just hugged them again, I could stay like this forever if I'm being honest, and I'm hoping they reciprocate those feelings...

Def my favorite one-shot to date!! It was so fun to write Enby!Gundham that I might do a part 2 someday! (EDIT: I edited a few grammar mistakes!)
