Ch 7

I was sleeping peacefully in my bed then I suddenly jerk awake. I look around confused as to what woke me up when I hear a buzzing noise. I slowly sit up and look at my nightstand seeing my phone going off and vibrating across the table. Blinking I grab the phone seeing the name Seth and I frown immediately answering it still sounding a little groggy. "Hello?" I hear sniffles on the other side of the line and I immediately feel concern wash over me. "Seth what's wrong?" What he says next immediately makes a cold wave of concern and worry wash over me. "It's m... my dad. H... he was attacked by an a... animal." I snap out of it when I hear Seth let out a sob and I immediately ask worried. "Seth where are you? Do you want me to come over?" I hear a few sniffles coming from the line before I hear a soft. "Please come over. Meet me at the beach." I immediately agree telling him I'll be there soon and I hang up jumping out of bed then grab a shirt and pants from my closet quickly getting dressed. I slip into my sneakers then run downstairs panting. "I need someone to give me a ride to Seth." They all look at each other before looking back at me. "Honey it's two am." I nod and says seriously. "I know mom but he needs me. His dad died from an animal attack." I put emphasis on the words animal attack and everyone immediately freezes. They look over at me with a frown and I pull a pleading look. Finally Carlisle sighs. "You can go. Just be careful." I immediately smile appreciatively. "Thanks dad." Edward grabs his keys and I follow him to his car buckling up. I tell him where to go and he just looks at me like I'm crazy when I tell him to go to the border. "Jay please don't tell me that Seth lives in La push." I look out the window my leg bouncing anxiously. "Alright I won't tell you." He gives me a stern look and I give a serious glare back. "He needs me Edward I'm his friend." Sighing Edward gives up and takes me to the border stopping right where it starts. I get out of the car thanking my brother before running past the border and towards the beach. As soon as I make it to the beach I see a figure standing there motionless and I immediately knew it was Seth. I run over calling his name and he turns to look at me. I quickly pull him into a hug and hold him tightly letting him cry into my shoulder. I rub his back letting him cry it out until I eventually just hear little sniffles. He slowly pulls away and I look up at him gently wiping away the stray tears with my thumbs. "Come on you should probably get home. It's wet and it's cold out here." I gently tug on his arm but he doesn't move and I look at him questioningly. "I'll go home only if you stay over." I give a tiny blush before letting out a sigh. "Alright. Lead the way." He gives a small smile and leads me to his house. When we walk inside I'm immediately greeted by stares and I shift uncomfortably. Seth just pulls me past them and leads me to his room before going to dig in his closet. I take the clothes handed to me and go to the bathroom to change but end up staring down at the clothes anxiously because there's one very important thing about myself that I keep hidden. Slowly pulling my shirt off I look down at the tight binder compressing my chest so it's flat. The reason I get so upset when people ask if I'm a girl is because I do in fact have a girl body. I'm a boy stuck with female parts. Sighing I decide to go against safety guidelines and put the pajamas on over my binder. Looking in the mirror I smile at the slightly to big clothes and I can't help but get lost in Seth's scent. Figuring I've been in here long enough I open the door and walk out but immediately bump into someone. "Ooof." I look up and see an older girl and figure this is Seth's sister Leah. "Oh sorry for running into you...." before I can finish my sentence I'm roughly shoved backwards. "You don't belong here and you need to stay away from Seth." I immediately open my mouth but jump when I'm pinned against the wall the bigger girl snarling at me. "You may be human but you live with a bunch of blood suckers so that makes you one of them." Frowning I start feeling upset and I catch her off guard harshly nudging her away. "Seth is my friend I'm not going anywhere." I then storm off to Seth's room knocking before entering and I hear a soft "come in." I walk in and sigh seeing Seth laying on the bed. I go to sleep in the floor when I'm grabbed and pulled onto the bed making me squeak. Seth giggles and I can't help but smile and I move to get comfortable. We lay there quietly for a minute before we both slowly drift off to sleep.
