Beep beep beep beep
The constant beeping of my stupid alarm clock telling me it is time to get up for my first day of senior year. This is the day I have been dreading for the past three months.

I turn my alarm clock off and grab some clothes and start a hot shower. While showering I go through my game plan for this school year. It's the same as the past three years, don't fail and be as invisible as possible. I get out of the shower, dry my hair and put on my clothes. I straighten my hair and then observe myself in my full length mirror. I'm wearing a white v-neck, black skinny jeans with my usual black converse. My long brown hair falling loosely around my shoulders. I'm not pretty, I know this. It's not something that makes me sad, and when I say it I'm not looking for people to disagree, I'm simply stating a fact. But I also know I'm not so ugly to the point where I'm noticed and teased by the popular crowd, and that's the way I like it. Me and my friends are part of that small crowd that most of the school doesn't even notice and that's how we intend to keep it.

I grab my bag and start driving to school. I enjoy driving it's relaxing and calm. My speakers in playing a panic at the disco song.

I get to school and go to my first class. English. The only subject that I care about. I lucked out having this my first class, there is no way I could force my mind to do math right now. I walk in the classroom and see the teacher hunched over her desk, enraptured by whatever book she is reading. I walk straight to the back of the class and find a seat right by the window. Score. I love being able to have the window seat. That way I have somewhere to look when I daydream and don't accidentally stare at someone.

Students start filing in and finding seats, talking to their friends. I only have friends and since I don't have a class with him. I just pull out my book and start to read.

Then the seat next to me is pulled out and a boy I have never seen before is sitting beside me. I try to focus on my book but I am too curious so I allow myself to glance at this boy. Wow. He is wearing dark jeans and a black t-shirt. He has a lip piercing on the corner of his full lips, he has messy dark brown hair. And when I say messy I don't mean like a mess, I mean like stylishly messy. And the most significant thing about him is how big he is. He looks like nothing but pure muscle. He is the exact definition of fit. Wow.

I look up at his face and see he is watching me. He raises an eyebrow at me as a blush heats my cheeks and I look back down to my book. His eyes were so beautiful but so dark. They were the darkest brown I have ever seen.

"Hey, what's your name kitten?" He leans in and asks me.

I look up to him, "Avery" I say. As I watch him I notice his eyes look me up and down. I look around the classroom, there are so many open desks why did he chose this one? The class even though it is an English class has the science tables. You know, the black two person tables.

"Well kitten, I'm jake" I look at him and raise an eyebrow.

"Kitten? Why ask my name if your going to call me kitten anyway?" I ask, he is about to answer when the bell rings and the teacher, Ms. Pots starts class.

"Students look at the person sitting next to you" everyone looks and I can feel jakes eyes on me but refuse to look "they are going to be your partner for the rest of the year. Now I want you to write a biography on the person sitting next to you. We will be working on it all week, starting now. Go!" And with that she walks back to her desk and starts reading her book.

I sigh and look over at my new partner. "Okay jake, how do you want to do this? Wanna do it back and forth questions or you ask a bunch and then I all"

He smirks and me "doesn't matter to me kitten"

"Okay what's your favorite color?" I ask while pulling out my black notebook.

"Blue. Favorite position?"

"The one where I punch you in the face. Be serious, I don't need to get shitty grades already!" I say rolling my eyes.

He sighs "fine fine, okay favorite song?"

"Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off by panic at the disco" he raises his eyebrows at this looking surprised.

"You like panic at the disco?" When I nod he adds "you look more like a girly Pop kinda girl" I wrinkle my nose at that. That is like the exact opposite of what I listen to. He watches me wrinkle my face in disgust and laughs "so no Taylor swift and Justin beiber for you?"

"God no. That would be like murdering my ears. I would never survive that kind of torture!" He laughs a beautiful laugh so deep and light.

"Okay kitten then what do you usually listen to?"

"All sorts, alternative, rock, country, some pop and some rap" when you put my music on shuffle it has the most variety. Mainly I choose my music based on my mood. "Hobbies?"

He smirks at me "if you want to learn about my hobbies why not hop in my bed and find out for yourself?" The bell rings and he winks at me and walks away. I get all my things and go to my next class, math. The rest of the day was boring and slow.

On my way to my car I feel an arm slide around my shoulder and I look over to see my best friend Jason grinning at me. "Hey Avery! How was your day?" He asks me while we continue walking.

"It was fine, how about yours?"

"Good now that I get to see your fine ass" he smirks at me and I just laugh. We have a fun relationship, sexual innuendos are our thing. We flirt and we joke but we not serious, he's been my best friend since I moved here in eight grade.

We get to my car and both hop in, I'm about to start the car when there is a tap on my window. I look over to see Ash Warner looking at me through my window signaling me to roll it down.

Something to know about my school are that we have four boys that are the schools bad boys. Ash Warner, the twins Trey and Eli Crane, and Vincent Romar. Everyone knows them and everyone fears them.

I roll down my window for Ash. "Um...yes?" I ask not scared like most people would be, just confused to what it is he is doing here.

"Avery, right?" I nod and he continues "jake said to give you this" he hands me a folded up piece of paper and walks away. Jason looks at me and the paper then snatches it out of my hand.

"It's his number! Why do you have jake's number!?" He asks furious. It's weird cause he is usually so laid back, I've never seen him angry.

"What? How do you know jake?" He just moved here and nobody knows much except that he suddenly had linked up with the bad boys of the school.

"I don't, just forget it. But stay away from him" I don't respond, too lost in my thoughts.
