"Oh wow...." You said as you saw the beautiful dinner party dress on one of the manikins in the Gucci store. "That's a really pretty dress." You said, but as soon as your eyes landed on the price tag, the dress instantly became ugly. "Never mind..." you mumbled as you felt Kihyun tugging your arm.
"{Y/N} we shouldn't stay here long, I think I saw a camera." Kihyun said, fixing his baseball cap and adjusting the mask on his face. You followed him in suit before you both hurriedly shuffled out of the store and into the more open area of the mall. The mission was simple, get your mom a Christmas present. And you did, you got her a nice blender for her kitchen, but of course you realized you needed a nice dress for Christmas dinner and Kihyun needed to stop by Rolex to get his watch fixed. Mall trips never ended in only one item from one store.
"Did we lose them?" You asked. Kihyun, who was trying hard to not be too suspicious, looked around before nodding.
"Yeah I think we should be fine, but we should wrap this up soon because I have practice in 2 hours." He said. You nodded, having everything you need except a nice dress for Christmas dinner.
"Oh gosh. I really don't wanna wear that sweater dress for Christmas again. I already wore it last year and I know people will judge me." You whined, making Kihyun chuckle.
"You're too beautiful. No one will notice." Kihyun said, making himself cringe at his cheesy words.
"Kihyun-ahhh! You're making me blush!" You laughed, hitting his shoulder as you both exited the mall.
Later that night, while Kihyun was at practice, you scoured the internet but you couldn't find what you were looking for. Groaning in frustration and knowing the shops wouldn't be open tomorrow because it was Christmas Eve, you closed your laptop and went to bed. You saw the sweater dress in your closet and sighed, knowing you'd be wearing it AGAIN unless you could pull something else together.
By the time Christmas Day rolled around you had kind of forgotten the whole thing. Being concerned with gifts and food, you didn't have time to worry about it until it was time to get ready.
"Oh Kihyun what am I gonna do?!" You said, searching around your shared bedroom for at least a Christmassy looking blouse. You looked at Kihyun whose face suddenly lit up as he left the room and came back with a white box with a big red bow.
"I almost forgot to give you this!" He said, placing the box next to you on the bed. You slowly opened it and inside was.... a diamond ring.
"Kihyun-" you were so shocked you couldn't even form a real sentence.
"We've been together for almost 3 years now. And I've never felt more sure about this in my life." He said, taking the ring from the box and getting down on one knee in front of you.
"Oh my god..." you couldn't believe your eyes as you began to tear up.
"Will you give me the perfect Christmas gift ever and be my wi-"
"YES!" You said, joining him on the floor with a big hug, not even letting him finish the line he had been rehearsing all day today and yesterday.
"I can't believe this is happening!!" You squealed, showering him with kisses as he laughed at your excited state. When you finally calmed down you realized it was almost time to go to Kihyun's parents house.
"Kihyun I'm still in my pajamas-" you said looking down at your red flannel pants.
"Oh yeah! The dress!" He said, handing you the dress you had admired in the mall.
"Kihyun... the dress was almost 450,000 won..." you said, feeling yourself tearing up again.
"{Y/N} I'm the young flexer, c'mon!" He said, giving you a small kiss on the check before pushing you into the bathroom. "Now hurry and go get ready. My parents are still waiting to hear if you said yes or not." He said.
"Best Christmas EVER!!" He heard you say after her closed the door, leaving a satisfied smile on his face.

The end...
