The young man who called himself V stuck with Jin all day while he was at work and lucky he had no schedulers surgeries today so he could spend the day conversing with his favorite patients.

While he was spacing out in the break room a pair of arms snaked around his waist and a head buried into his neck. Jin jumped at the sudden back hug but immediately smiled knowing who it was. He turned around to face his long time friend.

"Gosh Won-keun you scared me." Jin chuckled. He looked up at his best friend and pinched his cheeks before moving to sit down on the couch in the middle of the room. Won-keun quickly followed behind and sat next to him.

"So what's wrong?" Won-keun questioned. "What do you mean?" Seokjin asked. "Well you're spacing out a whole lot more than usual and you didn't even notice the door opening." Won-keun explained. Jin just sighed and began to think of an excuse.

"Oh sorry, I was just thinking about a show I started watching last night. I had to end on a cliffhanger to get some sleep." Jin lied. Won-keun seemed a little suspicious at first but brushed it off cause that's something Jin would do, he should know they've been best friends for the past 15 years.

"So you wanna get something to eat after work today a, new restaurant is opening and since we have no scheduled surgeries today I thought we could go?"Won-keun asked. "Sure it's been a while since I last ate out." Jin said. The two sat there and conversed until it was time to head out and go check on their patients.

Jin made his way to his first patient of the day, a 47 year old man named Yeon Kimin, he recently just had a tumor removed and was now in recovery. Jin loved talking to him, he was a chef who gave Jin lots of cooking advice. Their conversations and daily check-ups were always Jin's favorite.

"Hello there Mr. Yeon, ready for today's check-up?" Jin greeted the middle aged man. "Hello there Dr. Kim and I'm as ready as I'll ever be." Kimin replied with a bright smile. That's something else Jin liked about him, he was a nice man with a big heart.

As Jin began they made idle conversation.

"I tried that kimchi fried rice recipe last night. It was great a lot better than the recipe I'd been making before." Jin said. "Really? That's great, I wish I could take credit for the recipe but it was the one my daughter came up with herself." Kimin said with enthusiasm. "Your daughter must be super talented to come up with something like that, I'm jealous." Jin said. "You should come to our restaurant some time, it's called "Our way". My daughter helped me pick the title." Kimin chuckled. "Give me the address and I will, if the food is anything like that recipe you gave me I'll be sure to drop by." Jin replied with a wide smile.

The two continued to talk for the next ten minutes, mainly about food, until it was time for Jin to take his leave and check up on his next patient, a 19 year old girl who was less than enthusiastic about being in the hospital. She was caught in the middle of a fight and ended up with a sprained ankle and and many bruises, her name was Lee Bong-chae.

As Jin approached the room he could he voices being raised and lots of stomping. When he opened the door to her room he saw Bong-chae arguing with a nurse... well more like she was trying to anyways the nurse was ignoring her while checking her stats. Jin let out an exasperated sigh at the scene.

"Ms. Lee is everything alright?" Jin asked. Bong-chae looked over at him and began to limp over to him as her ankle was still not in the best condition. "She won't let me leave! I have a party to go to tomorrow and I can't just miss it." Bong-chae said. Jin just chuckled and began to speak again.

"Ms. Lee you can't leave, you have a sprained ankle along with many bruises, well actually you can leave but you need your parents concent and Mr. Lee made it very clear he didn't want you to leave until your all better, plus you'll most likely only be here for another three to five days."

Bong-chae listened to him with an upset expression.

"But I have a party to go to and I don't even have an outfit to wear." Bong chae said with clear annoyance in her voice.

Jin just wanted to get her check-up over with so he just sighed gently pushed he to the hospital bed and sat her down on the edge and proceeded to give her the check-up ignoring the nagging and complaints she was saying. The nurse in the room just chuckled and admired Jin's patience with the young girl.

The check-up was over after about five more minutes and Jin quickly told her he'd be back later.

"Bye Ms. Lee I'll be back later for your last check-up of today." Jin said. She just shrugged in annoyance and slightly waved.

Jin began to head towards his last patient of the day, a 30 year old man called Kim Hyun-ni, he was in a coma after being in a terrible explosion, luckily he was the only one hurt but it hurt Jin to know he almost didn't survive.

Jin made his may into the room and proceeded with the check-up like normal, no new signs of him waking up but he was hopeful. He finished up and began to walk out the room and continued his daily task of reports and decided to head to the garden. To Jin's surprise the hospital wasn't all that busy only about 5-10 new patients that day. But he wasn't called onto the sight of any of them so his day fad fairly calm.

Jin made it out to the garden and decided to pick some for his patients. After a couple minutes he felt as if someone was watching him but no one was around so he just ignored it.

After about 3 more hours and a couple new patients Jin made his final rounds gifting the flowers to his patients and made his way back to the break room where he saw Won-keun in his regular clothes. Jin grabbed his bag and headed to the changing room where dressed in jeans and and light pink sweater.

Won-keun and Jin quickly headed out to the new restaurant Won-keun was talking about. It was open seating so they quickly sat down and began talking about their day, the occasional fuss about the grumpy old man Won-keun was assigned to. Jin just chuckled at his friend's complaints.

A sudden shiver went up Jin's spine as he began to look around, the feeling of being watched returning. Won-keun of course noticed his friend's strange behavior.

"Hey Jin, you ok? You look like you've seen a ghost." Won-keun asked. "Oh sorry, just tired and hungry from today is all." Jin replied. Won-keun didn't believe him but let it slide anyways, Jin would tell him when he's ready.

They night continued fairly normal, Jin and Won-keun ordering their food and talking about random topics. Jin forgot about the feeling of being watched.

The continued to talk, oblivious to the pair of sharp dragon eyes watching them.
