White foam covers the entire ground, making a cold yet satisfying feeling as I walk. My hair sways with the wind as I hold my umbrella with my hand.

Christmas.

A day where people get to spend and celebrate Christmas with their loved ones, yet here I am walking down the street looking for a nice place to do my work since most of the shops and restaurants are closed.

I don't really celebrate Christmas very much because my parents are working overseas, friends are busy with their own schedules, and relatives on vacation with their loved ones. I don't have anyone to spend it other than me myself.

I spot a nearby cafe entered. I put my stuff on a table beside a window and sat there, plopping on my laptop, typing away my ideas.

Just so you know I work as a writer in a small company. My salary isn't that big but atleast it will last for a month, enough for my needs. As I write and focus on my process, a light gray haired man approached me asked in a gentle voice. "Hello! What can I get for you today?" I stopped typing for a second and grabbed the menu. "Hmm I'd like (preferred/drink) and (preferred/food) please." He took note and excused himself to get my order. I stared at the window, admiring the snow and people passing by.

A few minutes pass and my order has been placed on my table. I grabbed my drink and drank it while my other hand was still typing. I noticed that the gray haired man sat on the chair in front of me, staring with his hazel-brown eyes as he emit a calm and comforting aura. I put down my drink and looked at him. "Uhm is there something you need?" A short pause was created as he looked away and stared at the window. "No actually. You looked lonely so I might as well keep you company. After all, there's not much customers here since its snowing quite hard and its almost Christmas."

I hummed in response and continued typing on my laptop. Well, it is true that not many people are going outside due to the heavy snow. The sounds of footsteps and my keyboard typing sounds can only be heard in the bakery. It was a long yet comfortable silence until broke the silence. "I'm Sugawara Koushi. What about you?" I put down the coffee. "Y/N. I'm Y/N L/N."

And that's where we heard a 'ting' as the noise in the background fades. The writings on our wrists glow a warm blue and white color as we both stare at each other.

That's where we met, in this cold winder season.
