You waved to your mother as the train pulled out of Kings Cross Station, until she was nothing but a blurry figure that eventually disappeared. You leaned back into your seat, closing your eyes, and taking a deep breath to regulate your rapid heartbeat.

As excited as you were, you were terrified.

Hogwarts, what even is it? How were you supposed to know spells? Would you get lost? After all, you didn't know a soul at this so called 'School of Witchcraft  and Wizardry'. Many things could go horribly wrong for you.

'Get a grip.' you told yourself sharply. 'now is not the time to act like a scared child.'

A loud clank caused you to look to the side and see the door being opened.  Two identical twins with flaming red hair and freckles sprinkled on their fair skin stepped in, along with a boy who had dark skin and even darker eyes, which were shining mischievously with amusement. "That'll teach 'em not to mess with the newcomers! What do you think Lee?" The one red- haired boy questioned, while high-fiving his twin enthusiastically.

"Record timing, Fred, might I say! Flint went running, who knew the boy could go so bloody fast without a broom?" They all laughed, one red-headed boy clutching his side in the process. You went unnoticed by them, as they were in a conversation, yet you couldn't help but smile at the contagious laughter. The one named Fred turned to put the trunk he was carrying in the upper storage compartment, when he saw you looking curiously at them, and jumped.

"Merlins beard!" he said, almost dropping the case on his head. You couldn't help but chuckle, as his brother picked it up, holding in a laugh. Fred playfully knocked him over the head with his hand, muttering something to him, then went to sit down across from you.

"Sorry I didn't mean to... scare you or anything." you smirked, as you saw his mouth drop open and his eyes narrow playfully, catching your humor.

"Clearly you don't know me well enough, you'd think after all this time, you would." the boy sighed sarcastically, leaning into his seat comfortably, hands behind his head. The others seemed to have finished putting their things away, because Lee now sat beside you, as the other twin sat by his brother, on the seat parallel from you.

You laughed lightly, "We've only just met, you know." your nerves and worry were finally easing at a friendly conversation with these nice people.

The red-haired boy sat up shaking his head, smiling. "Well, if you must know I'm Gred, and this is my brother, Forge Weasley... and that's our best friend, Lee Jordan."

It was your turn to glare jokingly this time, as you hummed a tone of denial. "I heard Lee call you 'Fred' already...but I'll pretend you're good at pranks, how's that?" You added with a playful attitude.

Lee burst out laughing as Fred rolled his eyes with a playful smirk. "Yeah, yeah alright." He stuck out his hand. "The names Fred."

Your cheeks hurt slightly from the amount of smiling and laughing you've done in the matter of a short time, but you smiled again anyway and shook the outstretched hand. "I'm Evalynn."

"Nice to meet you Evalynn, I'm George." the other twin said, sending you a wave, as he was on the other side of Fred a bit far to shake hands with.

"I don't need an introduction." Lee said, cockily with a smile.

"Oh come off your high horse, Lee Jordan. You're not famous for your quidditch commentary, you know." George laughed with a eye roll of his own. You smiled as the boys began to argue playfully amongst themselves.

Maybe Hogwarts won't be so scary after all.
