"Good morning, students of Regelting County High School. This is Mrs. Fallow speaking. We have finally raised enough money to fund a special needs program!" Mrs. Fallow's voice had a very enthusiastic sound to it, "All of you who would like the volunteer can sign up at the front desk. If you have any questions, please, feel free to talk to me." with that the microphone was off.
I, Yale Blu, was waiting for this day, this hour, this minute, this very announcement. On the other hand, Cleo Von, my best friend was almost dead. She never liked the thought of kids who needed help and us helping them, "Cleo," I whispered to her, "Grow up, this is a wonderful opportunity."
She just rolled her perfectly makeupped eyes. Her red lips were pressed together and she was staring at the blank white board.
Mr. Darius stepped in before she could say anything hurtful about the special needs kids coming next week, "Alrighty, class, please open your science text books to page 83."

I pulled out my purple Papermate pen and scribbled "Yale Blu" on the volunteer sign up. Cleo was standing behind me, her gray Ugg hitting the floor impatiently, "Hurry up, Yale. Your older brother is waiting for us." Cleo stood there in all of her beauty. She was wearing a black and white striped Aeropostale shirt with a pair of black skinny jeans. She had white knitted socks that stretched an inch above her furry gray boots. Cleo's long bob hung perfectly above her shoulders, one strap of her black backpack was thrown over her shoulder over her puffy blue coat.I spinned around, "Cleo, I just want to help, what's wrong with that?" I narrowed my brown eyes at her. I wasn't exactly "Cleo Pretty" but in my school I was considered the second prettiest freshmen (beside Cleo, of course) I have long dark brown hair, with brown eyes and thick black lashes. I did wear some blush and some lip gloss, though I didn't care for anything heavy. Today, this Thursday, I was wearing a purple woolen sweater with a panda on the front. The sweater hung loose on me, so I wore a white tank top underneath. I had a pair of regular blue jeans on and black ankle boots.
"Whatever," Cleo muttered. I looked out the glass doors and saw my older brother James, with his girlfriend, Marrie. He was honking the horn furiously as Cleo and I scurried out from the bulding.
I swung open the dark blue door and climbed into the back of the small Prius. Cleo followed me in shutting the door. I distinctively strapped myself in, I glanced up to make sure Cleo was doing the same, "We have to get you two home, me and Marrie are going to see a movie." James put his foot on the pedal and glided down the snowy parking lot into the evening rush of cars.
Marrie was probably the prettiest teenager I have ever seen. Her brown hair fell to her shoulders, and she had brown eyes like me. But her face was rounder with high cheek bones, along the cheek bones she had light freckles scattered. James' arm was wrapped around the seat she was in while his other one was on the wheel. When he did that, I never, and I mean, never, felt safe.
Cleo's eyes reflected the glow of her phone while she swiped the screen on Instagram. I could tell that she would rather be in her limo than my brother's old Prius. I tapped her shoulder lightly, "Once we get to your house, want to watch the new episode of The Middle? I have been dying to see it, but I have been caught up with sports and homework."
Cleo shrugged, "I recorded the entire series, so yea, sure." she slipped her Iphone 6 into her pocket.
I flopped down onto the large tan couch and curled up under a fuzzy blanket with Cleo beside me. She was holding the long black TV remote searching for the list of shows. Muarry, her pampered toy poodle, curled up on my stomach while I gently stroked her, "Your so lucky." I announced moving my hand away from the fluff ball.
Cleo shrugged, "I guess. But at least you have James." she hugged the blanket as the begging of Downton Abbey showed up on the large flat screen.
