Chapter 17

(Y/N)'s POV:

I walked inside trying to forget the fight I'd had with my father but once I walked in I was shocked at the lack of people in the common room. I shrugged and started walking further into the building when I dropped my bags. "SURPRISE!" I smiled and looked at all my classmates.

"Todoroki told us you were coming back so we had to do something." Kirishima smiled. Soon everyone was hugging me and asking a million questions. We all sat together and ate the cake that Sato had made. I was sitting beside my brother oddly enough but it felt nice. I looked around before turning to Kirishima.

"Where's Bakugo?" I asked as the blonde who didn't mind kissing me in the hospital was nowhere to be found. The red head sighed and Sero, Mina, Kaminari, and eleven Midoriya looked down as if upset.

"After he came back from visiting you, him and Midoriya got into a fight, ever since we rescued him and All Might retired he hasn't been the same." He said looking at me with sad eyes and I nodded. I didn't want to push for more information as they all seemed upset already.

"I'm sure he'll be fine, he's.." I imitated Bakugo's irritated face. "King explosion murder!" I screamed in a very bad Bakugo impression. I got quite a few chuckles and then everyone just continued with the party. Though once it was late everyone parted ways and headed over to their rooms.

I was almost to my room when I turned and headed to Bakugo's. I felt butterflies and damnit I hated it. I shook my head before knocking lightly. I waited a minute or two and after hearing nothing I knocked again. "Bakugo it's me... I just wanted to see how you were doing.." I managed out. I felt so nervous and it was irritating at this point.

I almost turned away until I heard the door click. He opened it but he looked down instead of at me. "I heard about All Might's retirement... I know that must have been hard on you." I told him while trying to look into his eyes as I walked into his room. He shut the door and stayed silent before I felt his arms wrap around me and his face nuzzled into my neck.

I was shocked but soon wrapped my arms around his back. "It wasn't your fault... His body just couldn't keep up with his quirk. It would've happened soon regardless." He nodded. I knew he knew that but it was clear he still blamed himself. "I missed you." I admitted with a slight blush on my cheeks.

He pulled away slightly and looked down at me. "I missed you too (Y/N)." I reached up and put my hands on his cheeks. He had bad dark circles under his eyes and they looked slightly puffy.

"How about I stay with you tonight?" I offered hoping that maybe with some company he'll be able to sleep. He nodded and led me back to his bed. He laid down and immediately pulled me against his chest. He placed a light kiss on my shoulder before covering us. "Goodnight Bakugo." I smiled before leaning back against him and letting out a soft sigh before slowly falling asleep in his arms. Oddly enough it felt so natural and so comforting. It was exactly what we both needed right now.

Definitely shorter than my other chapters but i really wanted to focus on the soft moment between Bakugo and (Y/N) and I hope you guys enjoyed this short chapter!
