From what written in the blade, the blade will follow and grow along with its bounded user. this is a masterpiece but also blasphemy against a blacksmith. than a weapon, it is more like an extended limb for him. "so my guess is right, but I did not think that blade will be this amazing."

While Riveria also can read the hieroglyphs, her knowledge in magic items less than Elasha let alone her sister so even when she can read it, she did not know what it's mean and its function.

Bell shouted happily after open his eye and see his shining blade. But because of that, his concentration shaken and the blade stops shining. Which makes Riveria knock on his head with her staff.
