Falling Like The Stars

Colby Pov

"I swear to God when I come home, I'm gonna hold you so close. I swear to God when I come home, I'll never let go"

My heart raced, my leg bounced up and down, and my excitement rose to an all time high. It's been exactly seven weeks from today since I've seen y/n or even held her in my arms. No one, not even her, knows just how much I've missed her and seeing that beautiful smile of hers in person. We've never spent this much time away from each other before so it's hard.

We definitely made long distance work for that time. But going home and to have her in person is better. She and I have been dating for five years and I couldn't picture myself with any other girl except her. She's my home. We hate the time away from each other. She managed to become my whole world in these past five years.

"Like a river I flow, to the ocean I know. You pull me close, guiding me home. And I need you to know that we're falling so fast, we're falling like the stars, falling in love"

The plane landed after a million years. I rushed to get my things and meet Sam at the front. Y/n has no idea that I'm coming home today so this is going to be a big surprise for her. She thinks I'm coming home tomorrow. She's definitely something special, my y/n. I've fallen in love with her and I know she feels the same way about me.

People like our families didn't think our relationship would last because we fell for each other so quickly. She and I fell in love almost instantly after meeting. To me she just seemed like the one. My heart belongs to her and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've never had someone like this in my life before, someone who meant a great deal to me.

"And I'm not scared to say those words. With you I'm safe, we're falling like the stars. We're falling in love"

When seeing Sam at the front of the airport I smiled and we hugged. He helped me put my things into the trunk before driving me back to the apartment y/n and I share. On the way we talked about my trip but really I just wanted to talk about her. He noticed my excitement to see her and smiled. "It's been a while brother." He stated making me nod my head.

"I'm actually sort of nervous. I love her so much and it feels like we went an eternity without seeing each other." I admitted to him.

"She's dying to see you Colby, there is nothing to be nervous about." He assured. I thanked him and sat patently while looking out the window. Soon enough we arrived. Once thanking Sam for the ride I rushed to our door where I softly knocked. This is going to be the best surprise in the world.

Finally after what felt like years, the door opened to reveal her perfect face. Her eyes widened seeing me and without a word having to be said she pulled me into a tight hug. I held her in my arms tightly never wanting to let go. "Oh my god Colby I missed you." She cried into my shoulder.

"I missed you too baby. I wanted to surprise you by coming home today." I told her. She pulled away and looked at me with a wide smile. "Mission accomplished." She grinned before kissing me roughly. I kissed her back before pulling away to tell her what I've missed saying in person. "I love you babygirl."

"I love you too." She replied.

"I swear to God I can see four kids and no sleep. We'll have one on each knee, you and me. And when they've grown up, you're still the girl in the club. When I held your hair up cause you had so much"

We proceeded to sit down and talk about these past seven weeks without each other. She told me about what she's been up to and I sat quietly listening to every single word. "Baby I never want to spend that much time away from you again. Next time I leave your coming with me."

"That might not be a good idea," she said making me frown.

"Why not?"

"Colby I'm pregnant." She let out and my eyes widened. Shock flew through me and she stared at me in complete fear of what my next move will be. Not saying anything I cupped her cheeks in my hands and kissed her passionately. No we're not ready for this but that doesn't mean I'm not excited.

"We're having a baby?" I smiled widely.

"Yeah, we are." She nodded. This day seriously couldn't have gotten any better than it has right now. I swear to God she makes me so happy and feel like the luckiest guy alive. No matter what happens in this world I always want to be next to her. "Perfect." I whispered.

"What?" She asked confused.

"You are. You're perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better girl." I told her which put a smile on her lips.

"I swear to God everyday I'll take you away. Cause without you babe, I lose my way"

2 years later

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride."

With that being said I cupped her cheeks in my hands and kissed her passionately. Our family and friends clapped for us while I savored the taste of her lips. My wife, y/n Brock. It's going to be great being able to finally say that she is my wife.

"Momma! Daddy!" Our two year old screamed as she came over to us. I smiled and held her in my arms before attacking her cheek with kisses. Y/n smiled and gave our little girl a kiss.

"We're finally one big happy family." I whispered to her.

"Perfect happy family." She corrected and I smiled.
