Forbidden Lovers

Adeline's POV:
"Addy, my dear! You have to get up! We'll be late for the train!"

I open my eyes. Oh god. I really thought that if I enjoyed the summer, the day I have to go to Hogwarts wouldn't come. How wrong I was.
I went to Beauxbatons, but my parents decided to move to England, which means I'll have to transfer to Hogwarts now.

I get out of my bed to avoid my mother to shout again. I head to the bathroom and when I'm finished I put on muggle clothes. I go downstairs and find my parents in the kitchen having breakfast already.

"Oh, Addy, finally! I was afraid you won't get up", my mum says.
I don't answer and sit down. I pour some coffee into my favorite mug and take a sip.
"Are you nervous?", my dad asks. He is reading the Prophet and doesn't look up.
"Kind of. I mean, I'm probably the only one in the fifth year who will be sorted today", I answer and I mean it. I'm already imagining how uncomfortable it will be to be the only one my age between all the eleven year olds.

"Don't worry! You will be fine. Just make sure to be nice!", my mum tries to cheer me up.
I will be nice, I was taught to be. I'm just really curious about what house I will be sorted in. I actually don't have a preference and I wouldn't mind being sorted into Slytherin, although the house has quite a reputation.

I'm too nervous to eat something, so I check my bags to see if I've forgotten to pack something, but I haven't.
It's finally time to head to the train station so we take a taxi. When we arrive my father pays the driver and we carry my baggage to the platform 9 3/4. My mum hugs me tightly.
"Take care my dear", she whispers into my ear.
"I will", I promise.
My father hugs me too and tells me be careful and write a letter at least once a week.
"I will", I promise again and smile at my parents. They are so caring and loving that I don't want to leave them. But I have to.

I walk towards the train and get in. As I look for a seat I feel people staring at me and I could swear I heard them whispering. Of course, I mean I am literally the new one.
I ignore the whispers and see an empty seat in a cabin. Although there are people sitting in the cabin already, I decide to open the door and step inside.
"Hello... umm... can I sit here? I couldn't find any place to sit so I-", I began but a brunette girl interrupts me.
"Oh my god! How come I've never seen you before?", she asks with a high pitched voice.
"I am, uh... This is my first year here. I transferred from Beauxbatons."
She looks at me like I am some sort of sensation.
"Wow! That's nice. Of course, have a seat!", she says with a big smile. It looks kind of unnatural but I don't want to complain. She's the first Hogwarts Student I talk to so I have to be nice.

There are two more people in the cabin: A black boy who smiles at me and a blonde, pale boy who doesn't even look at me.

"I am Blaise, nice to meet you", the black boy says to me. I smile at him and tell him my name.
"Well, this is Draco. He is impolite so just ignore him."
I glance at Draco and he looks at me with a cold look. He seems bored and unbothered. I look away.

The girl's name turns out to be Pansy and she asks a lot of questions about my former school and I actually like talking to her because she is really interested in what I have to say. Blaise is interested too but when Pansy can't stop asking questions, he interrupts her.

"Pansy, this isn't some sort of interrogation. Let her breathe", he laughs. I look at him and I have to smile because of the look he's giving me.
"I am just interested!", Pansy defends herself.
"You're pathetic...", Draco spits. These words are the first ones I hear him saying. I ask myself why he is so cold but Pansy interrupts my thoughts.

"Soo, what house do you think you will be sorted to? I sure as hell hope you'll become a Slytherin!", she says enthusiastically.
Draco turns his head and looks at me.
"Look at her. She would make a great Hufflepuff", he says coldly. Wow. This boy is really grumpy for some reason. But because I can't accept this disrespect I defend myself.
"Nobody asked for your opinion, Draco. And nobody cares", I say. Blaise grins at me and I can't hide a smile.
Pansy and I keep talking until it's time to put on the robes. My stomach turns and I can't hide my excitement anymore.

We arrive at Hogwarts.
