Kırık ayna parçalarıyla dolu kadehi ters tuttuğunda masken düşer. Kendini bir girdabın içinde hapis bulursun. Saatler kırılır, kadran artık gösteremez olur. Ancak hayat her duran bir saat için devam eder. Kitapların bir sargı bezi görevi gördüğünü fark ettiğinde ip sadece senin elinde olmaz, herkes bir uçtan çekiştirir. Özgürlüğün nedenini aramaya başladığında narkoz etkisi gibi bayılırsın. İğneyi en ummadığın anda, boynundan yersin, sırtından değil. Saat birden hızlı akmaya başladığında bıçak durmaz saplanır. Cam kalbe saplanıp parçalara ayırana kadar da durmaz. Yaralar çabuk iyileşmez, kanar durur. Yara bantları çare olmaz. Güvenmek için bir bir el uzatırsın göğe. Ancak bir sürü el tarafından aşağı çekilirsin. Mumun ışına çekilen bir kelebek gibi erir durursun, bul beni diye bağırırsın. Kum saatine hapsolur ve akıp bitersin ancak o bıçak camdan çıkmaz. Sonra bir uzanır kalbine, kalbindeki ışığı gün yüzüne çıkartır. Melankolik ruh hali dağılır, boya fırçalarından damlayan yağmur damlaları kaldırımda birikir. Bir sokak lambası gibi ayılan gönül kahve köpüğü gibi köpürür durur. Renkli taşlar, uğursuz siyah kediler, kesilen saçlar... Hepsi bir olup bir dolu sigara izmaritini oluşturur. Kopmuş zincirlerini bir arada tutmak için o kopan yere dağlanmış ip gibi ayakta tutar. Bir kaset sesi duyulur kısık bir melodi gibi. Her şey bir film şeridi gibi gözlerinin önünden geçerken yere düşüp parçalanan bir nar tanesi kadar çaresiz hissedersin. Sonra bakarsın, kendi basamaklarını çıkarken bile o basamakları sen çizmişsindir. Sona yaklaştığını ve hatta geldiğini bildiğinde ise her şey için geç kalmışsındır.
