Many people mistakenly believe that they will never be able to quit drinking, but studies have shown that with a sincere commitment to the program, a person who has failed treatment can be well on their way to a life without alcohol. To avoid possible consequences of relapse, most people who try to resist alcohol often choose to do so only when they have had enough, or after they have already been through treatment.
