In this tale of light and dark, Aleia catalogs her experiences in a diary, so that the history of this great conflict may not be compiled by the victors but by a woman who was taken from her home in chains, who fought along the Iendride river and journeyed through the seven layers of Stratis to stop the evil in the Capital Ratheon could not.
