A young Marisa Coulter and Lord Asriel were in love. And this love resulted in a baby girl and many hidden secrets. What if a journey to the North brought these secrets to the surface for all to see. Lyra goes on a journey, but it's not just her who has a journey to complete, as does her mother, father and another. I do not own His Dark Materials, that honour instead goes to Philip Pullman, but new characters and events are of my own creation and belong to me.

NOTE: This is horribly written because I was 15/16 years old and obsessed with the Golden Compass . . . So, in other words . . . Cringe alert! This will be based on the movie a TINY BIT . . . Maybe . . . IDK! Depends, because the full first chapter idea actually came from my dreams recently, then throughout school, I'm always daydreaming (Knowing me) about what they saw, what they do, so on and forth. Before we begin, I do not own the actual movie characters. Like Lyra, Crazy Coulter Woman, Jordan college etc. The only characters I own is what you never heard of in the book (Haven't read it) or in the movie. I will be only posting one chapter at a time! This is a his dark materials fan fiction. I was not happy when Will and Lyra had to be separated. I was so sad ;w;. I decided to do a new thingy, I dunno where I'm going with this but my plan is Preview/Description? The two children were separated. They had to be, if they weren't the other would die. They could never stand the sadness it would leave them. Will was leaving with Mary Malone, and Lyra at Jordan College. Jordan was fine and dandy, Lyra liked it, but her best friend and playmate Roger, was dead. She was all alone without Will, or that's how she felt as she was never truly alone with Pantalaimon at her side. Will was glad to have Mary to talk to about all that had happened, he had no friends. Children were cruel in his eyes. He had his mother but this story would scare her, or that's what he thought. She most likely wouldn't believe it anyway. Mary Malone always thought of the Mulefa in almost anything she did. Atal was one of her closest companions. All of them felt alone without their friends. Even with the ones in their world. Mary and Will often recapped what happened, vented to each other about the mistakes they had made and then comforting the other about them. It was Lyra who had no one to do this sort of thing with, Iorek Byrnson had met Will and helped at least a little by repairing the knife but he was in the north! She was just Lyra in Jordan now... the little girl who lived in the college. That's not who she wanted to be! She needed to find a way to get back to Will, so what if she only had ten years? Her only comfort in the world was him. Pantalaimon knew it as well. She needed Will.

Lyra has made her way into the new world after the first book in the series "His Dark Materials". There she meets a boy who lives in a nearby city. A lot of the world is similar to her old one, but somehow still very different. Dust is having a different effect on this world then her own. Lyra and her new friend goes on to find out more about the meaning of Dust, and how you can use it for good
