Elita has always stood out in a crowd, and not only because of her immense height. She lives with her aunt and longs for the weekends and holidays when she can spend time with her mum. She is beyond excited when she can attend her mum's school and see her every day. Things don't go completely as planned. She finds that as time passes she fits in less and less and one day her mum decides enough is enough: she must move to the school at which her father works. This was originally posted as a fanfiction I wrote for NaNoWriMo in 2016, but I'm now rewriting it as an original work set in Khubelu, the same world as Souldier for Camp NaNoWriMo in April 2018. It's set after Souldier and in a completely different city so it's not necessary to read that first.

"In this world, it's dangerous to be different." Agatha and her best friend have kept a dangerous secret for years. And yet, on a trip to an abandoned hospital, Agatha meets a strange character whose existence could threaten the safety of them all. After being declared clinically insane, Ruben is condemned to a life below society. But to Agatha, he seems normal - incapable of significant harm. Ruben, however, also holds a secret, albeit one that stretches far along the eastern side of the continent, right to the north - where lies a long-dead ancient city that's about to have its' silence disturbed... ! - May have mild language. (I never write children's stories, ever.) 10+ Wattys2018/CampNaNoWriMo2018 :)

What if humans evolved into entirely separate sub-species? How different would the world be? Engarde is trapped in chains. In fact, he's been a prisoner of the Colosseum for countless years now - he's a gladiator, no more than a slave condemned to a life fighting for survival for the entertainment of thousands-strong crowds. And Engarde is not alone in his suffering, either. When a new fighter appears in the ring, Engarde finds himself wedged in a conflict of raging emotions. He begins to question his purpose, his existence - and perhaps most dangerous of all, he begins to contemplate a life beyond slavery... ! - Possible strong language/graphic depictions. 10+.
