Grace Dove is encouraged by her psychotherapist to create an imaginary friend. She thinks she has...until she discovers she hasn't made him up at all. Colin McLeod is real enough...a disabled soldier in a military rehabilitation centre suffering severe PTSD. He too has created an imaginary place of his own - the garden of stones - in which to retreat to find peace. Somehow their two worlds have combined, bringing them together. When Grace discovers Colin is in danger the fight is on to bring him back to the real world before he loses not only his mind, but his life. **Note - this story is currently undergoing editing prior to publication and the finished article may differ from this sample.

There is so much stigma on mental illness. Especially with people thinking suicide is a selfish act, when it is someone's last resort to end their suffering. The stigma on mental illness makes those who have a mental issue more reluctant to get any sort of help.

{e} english • {g} german That one's not a story composed in a plot like with characters and stuff. It won't be. There'll be characters appearing and I didn't bother changing their names. Those are thoughts, mostly, but also poems and moments, preserved in words. I'm not good with storylines but I know I'm good at this and I try. Enjoy as long as you can, as long as you want or need. Welcome to the jungle! Willkommen in meinem Leben, willkommen in meinem Kopf. Current titles: - excerpts from a book I'll never write - a writers diary
