"Do you ever miss it? Making stars, I mean." Crowley looked back up at Aziraphale. "Sometimes. I can still do it, I just, you know, it's not the same." A curious smile crept to Aziraphale's lips. "You can?" he inquired. "Well, yeah. It's not a big deal really. Here, I'll show you. For old time's sake." The demon laid down his cup and got to his feet. He spread his arms, wiggled his fingers, and a ball of brilliant orange light lit up the room. It was tiny, but it Aziraphale admired it all the same. "Do you have a favorite color?" Crowley asked. "Oh, uh, not - not exactly." Warmth spread to his cheeks. "I do really like the color it is now, though. Very pretty." Crowley shrugged. "Alright then, I'll show you mine."

A brilliant scientist and widower attempts to recreate his deceased wife and child, only to disappear into a fog of drug-addled depression at a remote coastal resort. Survivors of a global disaster struggle to piece together answers and survive in a near-future wasteland of high technology and chaos. These seemingly disconnected worlds are woven together with conflicting timelines, hazy memories, and one man's desire to hold onto what he loves at any cost. A thrilling exploration of the dark fringes of a derailed-singularity world: nanotechnology, genetic engineering, and artificial intelligence alter the rules of human existence. But human drives and motives remain unchanged at their best--and at their most terrifying. Traces of William Gibson-esque nightmarish technology infringe on a romantic world." "Caligatha blends science fiction, literary fiction, horror, mystery and thriller elements into a uniquely compelling tale featuring a strong female protagonist. Dense and multi-layered, but also an easy read, it will appeal to fans of all genres." "One of the most pleasurably-disorienting books I've read. So many layers and reveals, and I'm still left wanting more." "Neil Gaiman meets Margaret Atwood meets terrifying things...it's fun exploring their world." "You reach the middle, and it punches you in the stomach. Then every page after that keeps punching you in the stomach. I couldn't stop reading until the end. I really hope there's a second book planned." Get the full book in eBook or paperback: http://www.amazon.com/Caligatha-Realm-1-Matt-Spire/dp/0692506098

Get a sneak peek of Last Night, a Superhero Saved my Life! As broad as our exponentially growing cultural fascination with caped crusaders is, it runs just as deep as this long awaited anthology underscores. Liesa Mignogna the VP, Editorial Director at Simon Pulse and editor of this anthology can expound on the virtues of Batman (her wedding was even Batman-themed) but it's her retelling of incredibly harrowing yet ultimately inspiring encounters with The Dark Knight over the years, as she struggled to coexist with the supervillains in her own family that birthed this collection. Last Night, A Superhero Saved My Life gives readers the chance to connect to their beloved authors, while those same authors connect to their beloved superheroes, and within that feedback loop of respect and admiration lies a stellar, and phenomenally accessible, anthology full of thrills, chills, and spills. Contributors include New York Times bestsellers Christopher Golden, Leigh Bardugo, Brad Meltzer, Neil Gaiman, Carrie Vaughn, Jodi Picoult, and Jamie Ford, as well as award-winners and mainstays like Joe R. Lansdale, Karina Cooper, and Ron Currie, Jr among many others. Last Night, A Superhero Saved My Life's authors share their most hilarious and most heart wrenching experiences with their chosen defender to explain why superheroes matter, what they tell us about who we are, and what they mean for our future.

"DSH's writing is witty, smart and precise." - Chicago Sun-Times For fans of Neil Gaiman and Steven Brust And so it came to pass in the waning days of our century that a curious deal was struck between Heaven and Hell, or more specifically between Lucifer Morning Star and the Presence. The Book of Life, that book that holds the names of those souls deemed for salvation has been stolen from the Silver City. Without the Book there can be no Judgement as foretold in the Revelation. Two renegade angels are suspect and are believed to be on Earth. For reasons known only to himself, Lucifer accepts the deal with Heaven to recover the Book of Life. But jealousy and pride are not an exclusive domain. A small band of angels lead by Mika’il, the Angel of Vengeance seeks to stop him. Accompanying the Morning Star on the most important quest in Creation are Maggie McCreedy, a recently widowed romance writer now witness to Lucifer’s Testament; Duma, a misfit angel who almost joined in the Fall; Andrew Honeybone, a not quite yet dead, but rotting lawyer, and Mr. Pouge, an enigmatic gorilla of a man. Together their journey takes them from the Silver City of Heaven to the Ninth Circle of Hell to the now desert wasteland of an earthly Eden. It is a mythical mystery tale of redemption, deceit, salvation, betrayal and faith. Part I of The Fallen Trilogy.

The title is actually: "I found an ugly old shoebox from the 90's with a postcard in it and went on an incredible journey that led to my love for marshmallows. ( I discovered that Wattpad had a 80 letter limit for titles. it seemed that my title was too long so...) A person finds a shoebox with a postcard in it and goes on a journey to find someone named Scarlet. Well, basically what the title says. This is my incredible version of Neil Gaiman's story from "Fragile Things".
