Savanna has not had a religious past and being out on the streets gives her no meaning to life. At thirteen with no knowledge, money, or a job food is hard to come by. She was thrown out at age sixteen by her abusive "christian" father and has lived under a bridge. Thinking about her atheist but kind mother who died of cancer she realizes she would want her inside especially when it snows. She finds a church miles down the road and goes to it little does she know what hope this place will bring as she sneaks in one night to get to sleep.
