This book is about three main characters named Marcus being the main male, Sarah being a mother and Marcus's girlfriend and Veronica being the daughter of Sarah. Sarah has a history of dating the wrong guys and they would just leave her when either they got what they wanted or she introduced them to her daughter, one man even tried to date her daughter behind her back which since Veronica has a deep love for her mom obviously told her about. Marcus came along and Sarah really believes that he is finally the right one. Veronica took a while to trust Marcus because of her mom's passes experiences, but she started to trust Marcus, and some other feelings came with it too.
