Murders, mystery and marijuana in present day San Francisco, with ties to the Haight-Ashbury past. Financial ruin threatens longtime stoner and historian-turned-journalist Ed Rosenberg. He and his wife, Julie, victims of newspapers’ decline, have just been fired from the San Francisco Foghorn. In 1967, two friends Annie and Andy run away from their suburb in Arizona to Haight-Ashbury in California to join the hippie scene. They meet incredible people who share their interests and similar feelings, while under the influence of music, art, and psychedelic drugs. However, after the Summer of Love, reality starts to kick in and everyone at the apartment begins to realize what is going in the US. These group of friends experience life from a certain perspective, and come to terms with their demons.
