Based off of the mystery of Harris Burdick and his drawings and captions. We used Mr. Linden's Library and Archie Smith, Boy Wonder. This is an adventure type book with a little mystery as the characters must find out who Mr. Linden is and why they were chosen by two of the same, mysterious book. A "collaboration" with A_hopeful_writer. Please do check them out, they write the most deep, beautiful, and amazing things.

Everything was going so well, but now instead of color all I see is gray and it's turning me insane. After that day I can no longer look at the lake that resides next to my home. Today will never be the same and it never will.

The Mysteries of Harris Burdick According to the introduction the author was given 14 illustrations with titles and subtitles for 14 children's books. Mr. Burdick said he would return with the rest of the stories the next day, but never returned. Now it is a published book of the illustrations; and readers are encouraged to write their own stories. Here is my first story from the story.

Short story based off of the picture, Captain Tory, from the Mysteries of Harris Burdick. Charles has always wondered what his father did on these so called business trips. When Charles is finally invited to come with his father on one he discovers the secret life that his father has been living all these years. But in the end, he wishes he was never invited...

In school, we were supposed to write a story based on one of Harris Burdick's pictures and the sentences that go with them. I chose, "Missing In Venice," which is the picture of the cover. The line is, "Even with her mighty engines in reverse, the ocean liner was pulled further and further into the canal." I didn't use this exact line, but the idea was the same. Many years ago, a children's book editor named Peter Wendler met a man named Harris Burdick, who gave him 14 pictures with intriguing captions. Burdick promised to return with the stories behind those illustrations and captions. But the next day, no one came. And for more than 30 years, writers and readers puzzled over this mystery.

This is based on the picture by Harris Burdick (above). You can see Supernatural if you squint. Two weeks passed and it happened again. There was a lump under the rug. He was scared and frustrated. He grabbed that chair again and whacked the ground. It vanished just like it did weeks before. He whacked it again and again. On his sixth try he finally hit something. It wasn't hard, yet it wasn't necessarily soft. He brought the chair down on it again. It made this awful shrieking noise, somewhat like a pig's but higher pitched.
