(So... pretend that Evan "attempted" at the beginning of the year-ish, instead of summer. For the story. ;)) Evan Hansen has officially given up. Well... he decided to when he was at the top of the tree. He was at the bottom. Literally and figuratively. As soon as he let go, he found himself on the ground. Not dead, to his relief, confusion, and dread. But even worse? He was alone. Helpless, arm probably broken, and feeling even worse before he let go. No one was there. Except for Michael. Michael Mell was suffering. He had depression, anxiety, and his best friend of 12 years was starting to ignore him because of some computer. It couldn't get any worse. But then he saw Evan. After rushing him to the hospital, he found out more about the boy he saved. His anxiety, depression, home life. Even what actually happened at the park. He knew he had to help him. And he couldn't tell Evan about what he was going through. That would just make /him/ want to help. But what happens if Evan does find out? And what happens if feelings start to form? (Contains angst and fluff.
