A bright white light blinded his eyes for a second, but as his vision cleared the man saw that he was in a sort of jungle area, in a small clearing surrounded on all sides by large trees and thick underbrush. There was no apparent way out, so the man chose a random direction. After a short walk, he came out onto a cliff with about a fifty foot drop to the trees below. He surveyed the land, and gathered that he was on a small island of about a mile or two in diameter. Like most islands, it had a volcanic center and was rimmed by sandy beaches. The jungle took up most of the interior, but there was also some flat area near the beaches on one side. In this area was a small town, and that's where he was headed.
