In a world of Gumans - beings far more diverse and gifted than ordinary humans - Jeo A. Hercule stands out even among the extraordinary. Tall, elegant, and stunningly beautiful, Jeo possesses the rare innate ability Perfect Instruction: give him clear directions and he will perform them without flaw. Build a nuke? Easy. Defeat a supervillain before lunch? Child's play. All he needs is physical contact with the instructions - whether through his internet-connected sunglasses or, in a pinch, a living person speaking commands while touching him.
When summer break begins, Jeo's ordinary day explodes into superheroics. After rescuing an injured hero by carrying her on his back - literally turning her into his living instruction manual - he takes down the villain Metal Gut in spectacular fashion. Returning home, he finds a note: his family has left for an eight-week vacation without him.
Alone for the summer, Jeo suddenly has the freedom (and responsibility) to become the hero the city didn't know it needed. Teaming up with quirky professionals, facing escalating threats, and accidentally building a massive fanbase, "Instruction Manual" goes from viral sensation to household name. But as bigger dangers emerge, Jeo must learn to rely on more than perfect instructions - and figure out who he really is when the sunglasses come off.
